San Lorenzo

There has never been a finer example of the emperor’s new clothes, than
The highly over rated San Lorenzos, often described by the rich and famous
As a home away from home in dining in magazines articles.
Clearly wealth or fame does not bring with it taste. The décor of the establishment has seen better days and would look better in a kebab eatery in the Streatham high street, than a Knightsbridge establishment.
Worse still I was greeted by the owner, a woman who seems to want to kiss everyone. It reminded me of being a child trying to hide from that appalling old aunt.
“ Everything is Organic, “ she tells me as we sit too eat. You had the faint feeling
you were lucky to be there.
My first course of calamari was greasy and very disappointing. Worse was to come the organic chicken served in a basket, would have been better being used as a tennis
Ball during Wimbledon week. I pointed it out to the waiter who seemed more interested in the fact a minor celebrity had arrived. He took it away eventually but on its return it was just as bad.
We skipped desert and coffee and went down to Carlton Towers and had a night cap
To wash the taste away. Avoid at all cost !!

We visited this restaurant on Friday 18th November. How anyone can rate this is beyond me! We had longed to go here but I would never return. The food is below average, the service does not exsist unless you are known to them. During the evening (we had three courses) we were not even approached once and asked if we were enjoying our meal, whilst they crawled all over their regulars to the point of chewing their food for them. We had to ask for our bill twice and wait 10/15mins for our change - needless to say we kept it all and left !!!
