i have to say, this restaurant is one of the best in London, bar none.

i have eaten here on several occasions and it has been consistently excellent.if you are seeking an impressive place to lunch, this is it!the front of house staff are excellent and very efficient.the food arrives promptly and is actually hot!no tepid food here, the scourge of so called temples of gastronomy as they fuss and fiddle their hi tech designer meals!

Thats not to say the food lacks in style or substance, far from it.the food arrives promptly and beautifully presented with a sense of occasion that is usually lacking in most "modern" restaurants.

for business or dating, this is a good place to impress, without appearing louche.it is not showy or extravagant but has a restrained elegance without hype or chef -gods on TV to drum up custom:it doesnt need to!speak to the charming manager for wine advice and you will come across some lesser known choices, without excessive pricing, common in this part of london. 5#

a business lunch was the setting - nice busy atmosphere - the italian service was comical...but not too sure it was deliberate. Seem to annoy others who were trying to push out the door at a fast rate. Food good, but nothing outstanding - need more educated waiters around the wine list

Although we visited on a Monday, there was a nice atmosphere and the welcome was warm and attentive. The meal, in general, was excellent. I started with succulent beef carpaccio on rocket salad, then lobster linguini and lamb ossobuco. Although I prefer the veal version of this delicious stew, the meat was tender and generous. The Barbaresco wine was fantastic, decanted and perfectly served in huge goblets. Although not cheap, it was a wonderful experience and we'll visit again for sure.

Teca is practically right on our doorstep -- nice to have such a neighbourhood restaurant. Went with my husband and parents-in-law who were in town visiting from the States. Very friendly staff -- if a bit clumsy at times -- and a nice, relaxed atmosphere. The complementary starter of ham, pancetta and bread was delicious, as was my first course of ravioli with potato and saffron filling. Everyone enjoyed their meals, although I'd advise steering clear of the veal. It was dry and unappetising and even worse, arrived as a HUGE portion. Stick to the pastas and you'll be very happy.
