I was in London just recently, about two weeks ago. We were at Oxford st. and asked directions from people if there was an indian restaurant close to soho square. So thats how we ended up in Lazeez, and it was not just me but 3 more people.
I have to admit that the food was exceptionaly tasty, and the presentation was marvellous. The whole theme blended in so well with the music , lights, ambience. Just the right evening spent wid my parents, and loved the food. Next time around London this PLACE IS A MUST GO !!!!

I went to Lazeez last evening for the first time and had a very enjoyable dinner with friends. The waiter was extremely helpful in recommending dishes. The staff were very polite and didn't pester us at all throughout the meal, letting us take our time and enjoy the meal. The food was amazing, tasty and fabulously presented. I have eaten Indian food all over London, and must say, in terms of freshness and presentation this place wins hand down!

I was in London mid-February with a group from my county. One of our planned dinners was here. I was of mixed feelings about the idea of eating Indian food. However, the meal was delicious and if I am ever in London again, this would definatly be a stop.

A visit to Cafe Lazeez was supposed to be a treat for me and my boyfriend, making use of a newspaper "dine with wine" type offer.
It was the most bizarre place I have eaten in in London. We were seated at the bottom of a glass staircase, brashly spotlit, in a benched cubby (stuffed with oversized velvety tassled cushions) that they had to practically shoe-horn the table into. It was only about half way through our meal that I realised why it was so draughty: we were directly under the pavement! Also, strangely, the management thought that in such surroundings, serving Indian food should be accompanied by 1930s swing music.
We were initially presented with the wrong (tearjerkingly overpriced) menus; but when we reminded them of the newspaper offer, these were quickly replaced, and delivered with a look of disdain. The service from that point was snooty, inattentive, and completely disorganised with regard to which dish went where, which accompaniments went with what; and pricing the meal completely confused them. In the end, our newspaper offer 'treat' pushed beyond the £50 mark.
I have to admit that the food was delicious - the chef is an exceptionally talented individual. However, the portions were so laughably tiny, I kid you not, we actually left the restaurant hungry.
When we left, no effort was made by any of the staff to help us out, see us off, or feign appreciation for our custom.
The whole restaurant - from the food, to the layout, to the music, to even the loos - is a painful attempt to be 'stylish' and 'trendy' but just seems a lot of pointless effort and posturing.

I went to Cafe Lazeez for my birthday in May. This restaurant is one of the best I have been to and i would recommend it to anyone looking for quality, modern Indian food with excellent service within excellent surroundings. The waiters had a sense of humour and accommodated our requests effortlessly. The food was excellent and tasty with none of the usual oiliness that you can get. Again, this restaurant is 1st class.
