Had a fantastic day out with the family. We were made to feel very welcomed especially the kids. Will be making this our regular haunt.Great food and the new decor is a huge improvement.

The food in this restaurant is well above the average, even for a city of stellar Indian restaurants like London. The thing which impressed me most, however, was that this is the ONLY restaurant I've ever visited in the UK where beverages are served truly COLD (in the American sense of that word), and the customer is cheerfully furnished with as much ice as he wishes. Many kudos to the owners for this lovely touch. My only real disappointment with dining/drinking in the UK is the nearly universal and casual acceptance of drinks which I consider tepid, at best.

I don't make a habit of reviewing restaurants online but felt obliged on this occasion!

The much hype around the Star of India is purely that, hype! The food was well below average, the service was slow (over an hour for our main course) and the waiting staff were rude.

I travel to many countries every year and can honestly say that this is one of my worst restaurant experiences to date.

Wow, how i missed this place. New fabulous decor, clean look, and as always, an amazing atmosphere and great food. It's been a while since I was here last, but I'll be back more often for sure.

I've been informed that new menu is forthcoming, can't wait. This is how an evolved Indian restaurant should be. Fantastic!

Booked into the private room for 8 of us and the food was fabulous. The decor is great and the restaurant has a good buzz about it from early evening until it closes.

We went to the Star of India full of expectation. I really came away with the feeling of a restaurant living off its past glory. The food was pretty good, the service was fairly efficient ( if a little brusque) and the dining area was over crowded and very loud. I felt the food was overpriced for what it was.

Went to Reza's restaurant as a birthday surprise. The restaurant had been completely refurbished in muted colours with a wonderful fresco on the ceiling. There was a good ambiance but we did find that the tables were rather close together. The food was the best food that I have tasted in an Indian restaurant. A wonderful mixture of East and West ,though I found that some dishes worked better than others. The salmon fishcake for starters was superb as was the lentils with green mango. The curries, we had lamb and chicken were absolutely full of flavour. We thought that the duck samosa sounded potentially really good but lacked flavour and didn't really work very well.

The service was laid back which is a complete change from other indian Restaurants and we were left to enjoy our meal and drinks at a leisurely pace.Have been raving to everyone about the restaurant and would most certainly go again.

The decor and surroundings are classy, although the service is clinical rather than friendly. The food was lovely and reasonably priced. It was a very nice meal, only slightly tainted by the over charging on the drinks bill, which was subsequently put right, so assume it was an honest mistake.
