When I called to book at the Bleeding Heart for my boss' leaving lunch, I was told that as I had a party of 12 I would have had to have the set menu at £20.95.

When we arrived we were given the main menu and when I asked for the set menu (I had confirmed costs with my boss beforehand) the waitress looked at us like we we had crawled out of the gutter. From then on myself and my collegues were treated diabolically by the staff and what should have been a happy occasion turned a little sour.

The food was admittedly amazing, but the attitude was so awfull that it made all of us feel uncomfortable.

It is a shame that ,for what seemed a class isssue, neither myself or any of my collegues will go to this restauramt again.

This restaurant is fantastic. I took my girilfriend there last night and they treated us like royalty, replete with our own room. I can't fault the attentive service, and the food was excellent. The wine list took an age to read through. Go.

My fiance took me here the night he proposed and it was the perfect setting. It is lovely and romantic and has a nice formal feel to the table settings and atmosphere. We thought the food was absolutely excellent and the service was very good. We had foie gras as a starter and I had venison with a bitter chocolate sauce for my main which was fabulous and desert was delicious.

We also have been to the bistro and enjoyed the food there also and consider the bistro good value for money. My fiance has eaten in the bistro on serveral occassions with work and he has always been very happy with the food.

After many recommendations, I went to this restaurant on July 12th with clients.

The service we received was dreadful. Our starters took an hour to arrive and this delayed service continued throughout the evening.

In addition to this a waiter broke a glass when clearing the table behind me and for some time the waiters simply moved the base of the glass around the floor and did not pick it up. Other guests had a drink spilled over them and a plate of food was dropped.

The whole experience was very disappointing.

This used to be one of my favourite restaurants in London, but judging by my last visit the service and the food has taken a fairly drastic turn for the worst. Cold main courses and having to ask for the bill three times being good examples.

It may have something to do with the fact that they have expanded the restaurant part of the establishment and are over-stretched (both in the kitchen and on the restaurant floor) as a result. The location is as good as ever, though that is not enough to defend the high prices.

This place has totally gone downhill. The setting is as lovely as ever but, on my visit last night, I found the food really awful. The terrine starter was bland and served with old and limp lettuce. The main course (risotto) was tasteless. the chocolate mouse was too sweet and despite a request for coffee, it never turned up. All in all a very disappointing, extremely poor value evening. Most of my fellow diners felt the same. Such a shame as this used to be a great restaurant, not sure what's happened but the recent expansion seems to be compromising the quality. I will not be coming back.

This was my first visit to the restaruant (bistro) and probably my last. Ordered calamari provencale. When it arrived the whole dish was cold. My mate's calamari was particularly cold with ice still in it. When we asked the waiter if the dish was supposed to be cold he apologised and said it should be hot and took it away. Ten minutes later the dishes were brought back out (everyone else in the party had finished). To give them their due the manager did come back and apologise offering some complimentary wine and explained that the sauce was supposed to be cold and the calamari warm although I doubt there was still supposed to be ice in it! . Had beef for main which was mediocre.

I have now tried this restaurant three times and each time the food has been let down by mediocre service. One of my guests asked if we were in the upstairs room because we didn't have the right connections, I can only hope the people downstairs had better service. We ordered champagne to start whilst everyone made their minds up about the food and then waited 20 minutes for it to be served, we could see the bottle sitting on the counter waiting to be opened.

We sat down at 7pm and I left at 9.45pm to catch my train having given up any hope of seeing my dessert, apparently it was very good when it arrived according to my guests who told me about it the next day!
