Went last week. Poor service generally. When we arrived, I didn't understand what was said to me because of the waitresses heavy accent. She repeated herself louder and more slowly as if I was an idiot. I realise this is what some Brits are apt to do abroad, but I'm not one of those Brits and I certainly don't care to be on the receiving end. It's also been a long time since I've ordered drinks in a restaurant and I've just been left to pour them myself. That comes across as really lazy on my part, but it is part of the service you anticipate, even more so when they automatically slap 12.5% on the bill for service. More than once, we ended up having to wave to get service from the nearest passing staff. They didn't talk to one another so no-one really knew situation at our table and we were left waiting too long. I had a goat's cheese and roast veg pizza. Didn't always get the flavour of nice tangy goat's cheese and veg tasted like it was pickled rather than roasted. Not great. Bread, hummus and olives fine. Restaurant too dark. I won't be going back.

Went with some colleagues on a Tuesday evening. Special Christmas menu.

We had a selection of Turkish starters - they were absolutely delicious, and tasted very fresh. Nicely presented too.

Had sea bass for mains (not very Turkish I know). Portion was smallish and it was a little overdone. A colleague had an off-the-bone lamb dish, and I was green with envy. Served with delicious vegetables, and the lamb was beauitfully spiced, and slunk off the bone. Other colleagues had the tangine, which looked delicious, and very large portion. They tell me it was very good.

Selection of typical Turkish deserts. Nice baclava (excuse my spelling), not too greasy.

Interior is pleasant. Deep maroons, suits the atmosphere. A little too dark though! Staff were friendly and helpful. Felt a little crammed in - our table was too small for 5 people. The place was very busy, and the staff hovered over us towards the end of the meal. Annoying. £20 for the 3 courses was reasonable I thought.

Would definitely go back on a quieter evening with one or two people, and pick very carefully from the menu. Best to stick to the traditional Turksih dishes.

Food was fine, but service was terrible...the tables were not waited on properly and staff was not that friendly or even bothered.

Just got back from a really lovely lunch here. Delicious food - we had the lunch special so got lots of little bitefuls of different things. Everything we tried was tasty and unusual. Lots of veggie options too.

The restaurant was busy but pleasant, as were the staff. I can imagine cigarette smoke might have been a problem in the past but hurray for the smoking ban.

I'll be back.

Met some friends there, after losing touch for a long while. It was very busy, and there wasnt much space. Sat on a corner table, that was inconviently close to other diners.

The music was good, because love the live band thing. Food was well prepared.

The belly dancer going around the tables was a nice touch on a busy night.

May go again, in a more romantic setting.

The only Turkish thing about this restaurant is the name. The exterior of the resturant is promising, the interior is blandly decorated without character, although it was dimly lit, it cannot hide the lack of character. I booked in advance and i specifically stated that i didnt want a table in the smoking section, but were nontheless led to a table in a smoking section.

The menu was boring-you wouldnt think you were in a Turkish restaurant as the food avaialbe was steak, pasta and seafood.

The music was appalling "YMCA", "Auld Lang Syne","Saturday Night" among many others just ruined the whole vibe of the restaurant.

In fairness, however, this is a chain of restuaurants that is reliant on commercial success. But having said that, the authenticity and uniqueness of Turkish cuisine is compromised and lost. Very dispappointing. I wouldnt go there again!

I went to this restaurant on Christmas Day, and it is my first time eating Middle Eastern food. The restaurant is very nice, i really loved the atmosphere. The tables were elegantly set, and the presentation was A+. I had vegetarian Moussaka and my partner had a vegetarian penne dish, both were very good. The hummus they give you at the begginning is excellent too. Unfortunately i got really bad service, but, according to the other reviews it is normally good. Other than the service i would definately recommend this restaurant.

This is a nice restaurant if you like something noisey and smokey whilst at the same time candle lit and atmospheric. The food was nice without being absolutely fantastic, and was not unreasonably expensive. The puddings were slightly disappointing but ok. The service was very good.

On the whole, it was nice. But I wouldn't go overboard about it.
