My sister and I both work in the city and decided to catch up for drink somewhere equidistant between the two of us after work. We were absolutely overwhelmed by the genuinely enthusiastic welcome at what looks like the entrance to an exclusive members only establishment. From begining to end we felt attentively looked after and were recommended a few superb cocktails with a couple of tapas style bites.

Just had dinner last night at Prism, with the Independent £15 special that includes 2 courses.
Since it was a special priced dinner, the menu was limited. The food was still spectacular. We started off with a prosciutto plate which was delicious. For the main course we had a salmon and an onglet dish, both which were wonderfully done.
The atmosphere is mediocre. However we did show up quite late, and the tables were almost empty. The bar area was very busy though, with lots of businessmen and women who were probably drinking off their work stress. It's too stark for an intimate dinner (terribly high ceilings also contribute to this). This restaurant is better for a group meal.
Because of the £15 special, the value was great. The regular menu is quite pricey though.

I went to Prism earlier this week for dinner on the special offer. The food was fantastic and the venue is very impressive. Service was extremely polite. I will go back again.

My boss is a regular at Prism and he is always raving about this place. I had to see for myself so my colleague and I went for drinks after work. It is a stunning building with high ceilings – they told me it used to be an old bank – we had 2 bars to choose from. One is in the main room, which had lovely big red sofas and also the bar downstairs. We loved it so much we keep returning for drinks – try the cocktails, they are superb!

I went here for lunch last week and was impressed by both food and service, the food was delicious, notably a rabbit veloute with one of the starters and the service was faultless, one of my companions is a regular and the staff gave him 2 goodie bags of gorgeous Harvey Nicks perfumes for his 2 daughters who had been in for lunch with him on a previous occasion. A nice touch was the waiter bringing a fresh espresso when one of our party returned from the bathroom rather than leave it to go flat on the table. They all genuinely seem to care and enjoy themselves into the bargain.

I am surprised by the negative feedback on the site. I went there for lunch yesterday and I thought the foie gras with rhubarb was sublime, beautiful red mullet and excellent wine list. Overall very enjoyable with a buzzy atmosphere. I will go back when I get the right opportunity.

Last week, I was spoiled to a visit to Prism. It was simply delightful. The food looked and tasted gorgeous, the cocktails were simply divine and the staff was extremely friendly and attentive, without being overbearing. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to have a wonderful meal.

After reading some of the other reviews I was a bit worried about taking a client here for lunch. I was proved wrong as the lunch was outstanding. I could not fault the service and the food was equally good. I would highly recommend a visit.

Totally surprised and extremely appalled by my recent visit. Not sure where to start....We decided to go here because a few of my colleagues had never been here previously but I had a reasonable experience dining here before, so I suggested to entertain them on the company's behalf. What a huge mistake....The lack of respect shown from start to finish by the waiter/ess was unbelievable. My colleague was provided with a soup spoon for his trio of duck starter...mmm..very strange, then the blame was passed onto the 'new waitress' (come on, just how new was she?). During the entire meal, our wine glasses were left dry and were never filled up without asking. There was more to come.....dessert arrived and a few of my colleagues cleaned up pretty quickly, so the waiter decides to tell his 'new' employee to go and clear the table whilst 3 diners are still eating. How embarrassing, I thought at a 'fine dining' restaurant? Obviously no ettiquette prizes for Prism. However, the best was too come.........after dessert a few colleagues decided to go for a glass of port. The port came and soon after i requested the bill after a 2 1/2 hour lunch. We were all guessing the cost for the bill for a laugh and were immensely surprised when it arrived at £585 incl service charge. Come on do me a favour....As if i was gonna be paying for the service on today's performance. He came back to me with the correct bill and i signed it with dignity only for the waiter to say 'cheers mate', i'm really sorry mate. This won't happen next time. My colleague said he gets called sir in Battersea Mcdonald's....so at least we had a giggle as we wandered over to the exit.

I went for lunch with 6 colleagues on 2nd March. I was frankly stunned at the ineptitude and rudeness of service - my cutlery was changed before I ordered, plates were taken away during all sittings when others were still eating, and 3 glasses of port were charged at £45 each when there isn't even a glass on the menu for £45 - this stinks of someone trying to rip us off. We withheld the service charge and whilst the food was pretty reasonable (have had worse), it's over-priced and we will not return. We're not asking for Gordon Ramsay style service, but at these prices one should expect the service basics to be performed properly, and when mistakes are made, an appropriate apology. Very, very disappointed.
