Delicious food - lots of interesting things to try and good value for money. V Friendly service and no complaints at all.

After reading the reviews I decided to give Kastoori a try. All I can say is AWFUL. The food was tasteless and bland and the service was deplorable. I enjoy a nice relaxed evening out without be glared at by staff or being judged because I ask for certain dishes to be explained. I was under the impression that this was a family run restaurant however, there must be a lot of conflict going on under the roof!

Whilst the atmosphere and decor on a quiet night or a wet wednesday lunchtime can be less than inspiring you cannot say the same about the food.I have been here 4 times so far and the choice I made on the first visit was so good it seems rude to order anything else,Puris which were as good as any I ever had when I lived in India, sensational Tomato curry and Plantains stuffed with chillies served in the skin for a truly memorable and unusual dish.My only dilemma is whether to pop in here from now on or my fave non veg across the road - its a tough but enviable choice. The service was very charming too for those in our group who were unfamiliar with a full on vegetarian menu - it has to be a 10 for the food I think.
