E&O has hit the top of my favourite top ten restaurants. We had the most wonderful meal there, absolutely nothing to fault the service, food or atmosphere, at the moment I could eat there every day. Make sure you book though as other reviews mention it is incredibly popular but worth a visit if not just for the salt and pepper squid to name but one

What a beautiful people, beautiful food, place. It's one of the first bookings I make when I'm going to London.

Great food and a nice eclectic setting.

We usually like to go there for lunch on weekends.

The service can be friendlier, trendy waiters with unecessary attitude.

I agree with all those who say this is the best restaurant in London. I've eaten in a lot of the Gordon Ramsay restaurants and other michelin star restaurants, but E & O is by far the best London has to offer. Such tasty food, excellent staff and a great atmosphere. The lamb and sweet potato dish is heavenly, the aubergine and coriander salad is to die for, and even the stem ginger cheesecake is outstanding (even though I bake cakes and desserts for a living!)

An absolutely outstanding place - probably the most tasty food I have ever had, albeit quite pricey. The watermelon martinis are supreme, and the menu boasts incredible dishes such as duck and watermelon salad, black cod, pork ribs, and heavenly rock shrimp tempura.

The atmosphere is trendy and sleek, always famous faces around, and the service is helpful.

You haven't lived until you've eaten this food!

Fab! Favorite restaurant in all of London... Lychee martinis are delicious and the food gets even better. chili salt squid is great and the duck and watermelon salad is unique and not to be missed... Consistently great food and service is surprisingly good too!

Overall I did quite enjoy my meal at this restaurant however I am Chinese and very passionate about Asian food and found some of the sauces overly sweet. We started off with the prawn and chive dumplings and the chilli fried squid - both good. We then had the aubergine and coriander salad and unfortunately what could have been a lovely dish was spoilt by an overly tart vinegar dressing which was much too sharp.

For our main we ordered the deep fried chilli tofu and the black cod. The tofu was swimming in a sickly sweet chilli sauce which was a pity. The cod too was slightly too sweet.

We had some great cocktails though and generally it was enjoyable.

We went last Friday night with a friend who likes standard classic french cuisine...and did not know anything about asian fusion food. Our friend was absolutely amazed and my husband and I had once again one of the best meal experience London can offer. Service was great even though a bit slow to start, with our waiter not only very helpful and knowledeable on all dishes but also very charming! But as for the food it was an absolutely fantastic experience throughout with aubergine salad- melting and slightly sweet, salted quid, properly fried and clams in an amazing sauce, followed by duck (chinese style but far more refined in taste than in any chinese restaurant I have been to) and curry of lamb, tendre and very aromatic in spices. Portions are actually of a proper size so even though it is not cheap, you have value for your money. The atmosphere is not specifically romantic, more on the trendy side, but if your date likes good food, it is the place! We will be back soon again.
