OXO Tower Restaurant

My wife and I had lunch today with dear friends from Scotland. We had a wonderful meal with delicious, interesting food, lovely wines and helpful friendly staff. We have eaten here on 3 previous occasions and have always enjoyed our meal but this was specially good.

Took my wife to OXO TOWER resturant for lunch on Saturday. From the moment we stepped out of the lift to the end when we left it was BRILLIANT!!! Thankyou to all the staff everything was 100% including the food and wine! See you again, its the best place we have ate in London, ......

We dined at the OXO tower last Friday evening as two couples. Firstly I would like to say the food was excellent and so was the wine (although our choice was expensive). However the service was appalling. On three occasions during he evening, one of us had something spilt on us.

The last spillage occurred when a waiter clearing the table knocked a glass of port over and most of its contents went onto my friend's designer handbag. The waiter didn't notice what he had done and when it was pointed out to him he simply shrugged and said he was 'clearing the table'. There was no apology for his actions.

As a result of the poor service we requested 25% off the bill, which was met with an offer of a free glass of wine each, which we refused. Eventually we did obtain the reduction from the meal, but only after being made to wait over 1/2 hour.

After the disappointing attitude of those serving us, we will not be dining at this restaurant again I'm afraid.

Yep, this is good food.

A fine all-round dining experience.

Good service, nice wine, nice food what more can you want. Not cheap however.

I had been wanting to visit the Oxo Restaurant for some time, it was by far one of the best dining experiences I have had. My husband took me for my birthday, and the restaurant were aware and made me feel very special, and I had the most amazing birthday cake!

I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone, the service was amazing, the staff were very friendly, and the atmosphere was perfect!!

My family and I dined at the Oxo Restaurant, one week before Christmas and it was one of the best evenings, we have had in along time!

The Restaurant was busy with Christmas parties but was not overbearing and gave a lovely atmosphere to the Restaurant.

The food was excellent and I would recommend the Beef dish for main course.

The whole family had a lovely experience and we would definately return.

We also enjoyed the Brasserie Bar after our dinner - which was also very lovely.

Five of us went to this delightful restaurant for our daughter's birthday. It was an OUTSTANDING experience. The setting on the 8th floor of the tower provides stunning views across the river to St Pauls and other landmarks. Go early and get a table beside the window. The food is highly creative and beautifully presented. The service is immaculate. This is a high end restaurant and you pay accordingly, but it is not over priced for what you get. Allowing for wine and service, it will cost £70-90 per head.

I was in the restaurant on saturday with my friends . I can tell you the food is fantastic , the staff are very helpfull. The let me park my car under the tower because i use a wheelchair and we had a great night . Thank you oxo for a great night. i can't wait to go back again.

I took my wife to the OXO tower for her 40th birthday for lunch. From walking in to walking out we were made to feel welcome and special.

The service was superb -attentive without being intrusive.

The food was excellent, the ingredients well thought through and presented very well.

Whilst we stuck to house wine, it too did the job very nicely - a Pinot Noir with the beef starter and a Sancerre with fish main course. We skipped the Champagne at £11.75 per glass (yes, glass!).

Otto and his team should be congratulated. In terms of service, food and atmosphere, the word 'stylish' fits perfectly

I took a date on her first ever visit to London, to the much talked about OXO tower restaurant. So as you can imagine, I wanted the evening to run perfectly...

As a starter I had the scallops, which were served on a bed of bean sprouts, topped with what I believe was a thin ginger wafer. The scallops were cooked perfectly and well seasoned, but served a fraction cooler than what I would have preferred.

For my main, I decided on the Lobster. Which was absolutely divine. Once I could actually start eating it of course... The Lobster was garnished with what strangely seemed to be pineapple pieces (I'm anaphylactic to pineapple), and as I could not remember the menu description along with waiters whom clearly did not know the menu well enough, I had to leave it to my date to try to figure out if it was in fact pineapple or not! Turns out it wasn't and it was delicious, but I was very disappointed that no one could answer my simple question. Even after stating that they would check with the kitchen. Nobody returned.

Dessert was a chocolate plate, and to be honest, they could do no wrong with it. Simply perfect!

Overall an excellent experience, lovely views, attentive staff and great tasting food. If the waiting staff had a slightly better knowledge of the menu and wine list so that when asked to recommend a wine which would suit my particular meal, didn't just recite the wine list to me... This restaurant could be an impressive place to dine.
