Had the set lunch menu.

We were given a table right in the window looking over the Thames. The atmosphere was quite buzzing for a lunch time, and there were a couple of tables with celebs on.

Menu, although more limited due to set lunch, was interesting and made it hard to decide what to have. Enjoyed all the foods, and waiter serving the various breads (yum yum) kept coming back to serve more each time we finished our current slice.

Staff were very attentive but not at all overbearing. We had a problem with our wine, which was changed for us without any fuss.

We weren't rushed at all and spent nearly all afternoon there.

Overall a really enjoyable experience, exceeding expectations.

On leaving, the door/front of house staff were genuinely interested in how we enjoyed our food, and whether we had enjoyed ourselves, and we were really happy to say we had!. A++

Excellent on all fronts, the food was interesting, filling and very well presented/ prepared. The restaurant was full when we visited but this didn't stop the service being nothing short of 5 stars. I highly recommend this place with prime views over London a great cocktail/ wine list and a rich atmosphere the OXO tower restaurant is worth every penny!

I booked this restaurant to mark my friend's 60th birthday and I needed somewhere near The Globe Theatre so that we could have a special lunch and then get to the play on time.

It scored 10 out of 10 on all fronts!

The menu was comprehensive with something for everyone's palate. The service was attentive without being overbearing. The food was delicious and the presentation superb: they even thought to deliver the dessert for my friend with a candle and Happy Birthday message- a lovely touch.

I actually wrote to the restaurant to thank them- we all spend so much time being critical that it is just nice, when you can, to say thank you!

The set three course menu was excellent value and I would certainly go there again!

Well done to all the staff at The Oxo Tower Restaurant.

My wife and I had lunch today with dear friends from Scotland. We had a wonderful meal with delicious, interesting food, lovely wines and helpful friendly staff. We have eaten here on 3 previous occasions and have always enjoyed our meal but this was specially good.

Cheese and Biscuits - 5/10

Thursday, December 01, 2011 - Nothing was quite right about our meal at the Oxo Tower restaurant. But before you settle down for a long and satisfying dose of schadenfreude, I should also say that nothing was that bad about it either. Everything, from the decor to the service to drinks and (most importantly) the food weaved a fine line between disappointing and just about acceptable, never dropping below the former and rarely rising above the latter, and so I can neither wholeheartedly recommend it or condemn it. It's a frustrating place, wowing you with superficial glamour while never quite satisfying on any other level.
