A terrric lunch venue (chosen due to its proximity to War Horse at New London Theatre) - lively atmosphere, attentive but not intrusive service - we chose the 3 course set menu which was excellent - faultless ( included coffee which was also excellent).
Highly recommended!!
The only thing which I must admit put me off as we were shown to our table was the shocking state of the chair covers - stained, worn and grubby.
This turned out to be a minor criticsm and shouldn't put anyone off what was a really excellent meal, but my heart did sink as I caught sight of them!!

We went for lunch on a boiling hot day..an oasis of calm, air-conditioned delight.
Marvellous choice on special offer £25+Kir Royale 3 course lunch..8 starters, 8 mains and 4 deserts. Everything we had was beautifully prepared and served.
Service was friendly attentive and made us feel truly welcome.

I must say what a fantastic little haven this place is. I cannot bear Covent Garden most of the time finding it busy and noisy but you walk into here (so easy to find as well just down longacre) and its a little haven of beautiful tables and yummy food. i am a big fan of french food and this really is good. had crabcakes then roast duck then white choc mousse. yummy!! will be recommending this to friends and will for sure be returning it really is lovely.

We went there last night on a toptable booking but found out that the time booked was out of the offer period. However the manager (Julien) was very good and let us have the special offer anyhow. I have been to Le Deuxieme a few times and never had a bad meal! The food is lovely and simple, the staff are friendly so a win win situation really. Highly recommended.

Le Deuxieme is my favorite restaurant to attend after the opera or ballet. The food is lovely, classic and simple. The service, friendly, professional, knowledgeable and kind. I often wish I would go at other times to enjoy a full dinner, rather than the quick, post-opera experience. I have never had a compliant in the 20+ times I have been and will continue to attend as frequently as possible. Highly recommended!

We had a fantastic meal last night at Le Deuxieme. True we were on a special offer, which made the bill extremely good value, but we loved the food and the service which were excellent. Three of us had 9 different dishes, all were at least good and some excellent. Best of all was my wife's tuna with pak choi, which was truly delicious. The service was perfect - discrete and professional but not at all frosty. We had not been here for a while and had forgotten what a good restaurant it is : strongly recommended.

I went to the restaurant for lunch a few days back on account of the good reviews. The service was bland, and the food not really up to the reviews. I have had much better French food at the same price.
However, what really upset me was that a day after the meal, I realised that I was charged twice for the same amount when I was online checking my credit card statement. When I called the restaurant to clarify, they say they will call me back within a day to resolve this. It has been 3 days and I have still to hear from them, despite my several calls.
Very very bad service and experience. Wont' go there again.

Went there post theatre last Wednesday. Very quiet and not sure what to expect. Opted for the a la carte. The food was delicious. The service outstanding and we left feeling pampered and vowed to return. OH had snails followed by tuna. Greedy guts me had crab cake, calves liver and creme brulee. Yummy!

Walked in off the street last night and got a table straight away around 7.00pm, the restaurant is cramped with lots of tables squeezed in.
The choice on the menu was good and decent sized portions. The wine list was not the most extensive but varied, however more worryingly was the lack of a sommelier to assist in the choice of wine, the waitress tried to assist but with no avail.
The meal was leisurely and not rushed, although the service was generally poor with the general attitude of the staff appalling. To add to insult the 15% service charge is just over the top!
Overall this was a very bog standard experience and there are far better restaurants to eat at in London.

We had a visiting professor of drama from USA and after a Saturday matinee wanted an early dinner. Took advantage of the special offer. Absolutley first rate. Maitre'd especially helpful and waitress charming . Food well prepared and presented. It was exactly what w required. Our friend took a card and expects to go again during his trip.
