I checked back again, six months after my last review here - it's no better, the food is mediocre. Service good. The "vibe" is fine if you like loud braying media types (I don't).

Have often walked past the pink glow of Bush and wondered what happened behind the doors.

Last night decided to find out and wasn't disappointed. A nice, relaxed atmosphere at the bar, with enough people to provide an atmosphere but not so much that you felt claustrophobic.

Drinks were reasonably priced and we soon headed to the restaurant side for a meal. The meals were very reasonably priced and really very tasty. In additional I have gluten-free requirements and the chef was more than happy to assist in determining which meals were suitable for me.

The waitresses were very friendly, providing excellent service with a smile. Not overbearing, and always available when required.

All in all, I would definitely recommend Bush and will be back for more!

I am utterly shocked that the bush bar has any bad reviews. I work in Shepherds Bush and often have to take clients out to lunch. The only place i feel comfortable taking them in Shepherds Bush is the Bush Bar. It has become like a second home! I love the atmosphere and find the staff to be the friendliest in London.

I am quite picky about restaurants and have no problem complaining when I think something isn't up to scratch (ask my boyfriend - i'm a constant embarassment to him!) but i genuinely rate the Bush bar as one the best restaurants in London. As i am quite fussy (and vegetarian) it's really nice to find a restaurant that will adapt their menu to suit your needs. Something to bear in mind is that as a rule things are cooked properly. That tends to mean that meat and fish are likely to under cooked rather than over cooked. However, if you decribe exactly what you want, you will definately get it. The meat is all Donald Russell and even as a vegetarian, it looks amazing!

Anyway, i would utterly recommend the Bush Bar. I'm not sure why anyone would give it a bad review but maybe people are more likely to write an internet review if they've had a bad experience. I'm sure if you polled all of the Bush Bars customers, you would get a very positive response.

Well I used to go to The Bush Bar many moons ago and haven't been back for a while but was in " She Bu " last weekend adn decided to pop in for dinner.

Had a lovely meal accomanied by some very tasty cocktails and all in all a really nice evening.

It has certainly changed since I had last been there but really enjoyed the vibe and if I am not mistaken I may have even seen the staff smile which in this day and age in London is cvertainly a rarity.

Well be back again I can assure you.

I felt as a regular (of both the Bush Bar and London eating) that I had to comment on the last 2 or 3 reviews.

I frequent the Bush once or twice a month and I have to say that I am always extremely happy with the service, food and general ambiance of the place. To call the staff pretentious only makes me wonder what sort of places the previous reviewers have been! Every staff member seems to be welcoming me into their own place.... and the staff all seem to be long term... another good sign.

The kitchen always impresses me with their food and various bottles of wine on the list I have seen in different restaurants for at least 25% more.

So I think the Bush Is Fairly priced, underrated, welcoming and unpretentious!

To start with not really sure if the other's who have recently reviewed the same Bush Bar & Grill that I frequent but I find it hard to believe.

The staff are always friendly and once they recognise you they really make you fell welcome.

Drinks especially the cocktails are always good and I tell you what you can actually taste the booze rather than some other places where you would swear you were not drinking any alcohol.

The food has it moments but since the pizza's came on board I think the've been great. Nice to have some fresh Italian produce rather than the frozen stuff you get from those chain pizza places.

All in all I really enjoy The Bush Bar & Grill and hope they continue doing what they're doing

Overpriced, overrated, over pretenious. Plenty of restaurants / bars in the Bush that fair much better.

appauling service, restaurant was cold. Food was abismal as my tuna nicoise salad made my gag it was unappetising. The worst restaurant I have been to London. Will never return.

This place has gone wrong, hasn't it ? Having passed through various changes of ownership in recent years it has now gone a bit downmarket with a gastro-pub type menu and really has not much to recommend it. The pizzas in particular are very poor, not as good as Shepherds Bush Pizza Express but more expensive. A pity, the food here used to be good for the area and excellent value for money - now it is neither. Still, I suppose there will be another change in ownership along soon.
