Having visited Embassy the week prior to Christmas I can hardly believe some of the negative comments that have been posted as this restaurant, bar and club is superb in every way possible.

I chose Embassy for my staff party and am so glad that I did. The 'Delectable Duo' - Melissa and Nina - were meticulous in organising the party not only in the restaurant but also with table reservations in the club for later in the evening.

The food at Embassy is superb and shows that the formerly Michelin starred Garry Hollihead has lost none of his skills as guests were served dish after dish of perfectly executed French cuisine. The restaurant/bar/club appeals to a wide range of people from lovers of fine food to serious top-end clubbers meaning that the restaurant has a cosmopolitan clientele and far from detracting from the atmosphere it helps generate a relaxed and fun ambience that I have not experienced elsewhere in London. Service throughout the evening was exemplary.

We finished the evening in the club where there were very recognisable faces from both the screen and football pitches which really made the night for a couple in our group. It was a friendly crowd and although I am not a club fan it is somewhere I would be keen to return to.

We chose to celebrate our Christmas party at the Embassy on the 20th December this year, and I have to say my colleagues and I thoroughly enjoyed the venue. The team at Embassy were absolutely super and extremely attentive to everyone – I would definitely recommend it to all!

I went along to a friend's dinner party held at this Restaurant on Saturday 17th December 2005, and I must say I would rather shoot myself at least three times than return. There is nothing much wrong with the food (the cod was actually quite good, and the desserts were fine), but, as one of the earlier reviewers suggested, after 10pm it really does become the sort of place where Essex Girls go to meet footballers. Tarty, strappy, sausage-effect tops and enormous Italianesque shirt collars surrounding tiny little heads shining with hair gel and bling. The service was not particularly friendly either. Go if you are 16 and fancy throwing it about a bit.

This place is absolutely dreadful. I strongly suggest that anyone deciding to go here should avoid it like the plague. Not only are the staff completely incompetent but the food is mediocre, not what I would expect from Garry Hollihead's cuisine and there is zero atmosphere.

This coupled with the fact that the restaurant loses all 'friendly' atmosphere after 10pm and becomes a nightclub where the no-longer rich and famous try to prove they are still on top makes it an extremely undesirable venue. My girlfriend and I shall not be back!

Better off going down the road to Cecconis for a brilliant evening.

I booked this resurant for friday evening 16 September 2005 to impress my new Girlfriend. The booking was confirmed by an emil with confirmation number for 9.30pm. Ubfortunatley, at the same evening at 6.30pm we received a phone call from the Embassy cancelling our booking. No reason given just saying we are fully booked. They are horrable people who spoiled our evening.
