A strange experience.
Staff had been obviously trained by specific function but had a rather odd demeanour - rather formal and not relaxed despite its apparently quite trendy setting. It lacked atmosphere, but at least conversation could be heard - sometimes a place can't win.
The food was generally rather good, although vegetarian options were very limited especially as they have to skip the mise bouche. Foam appeared on most dishes which used to be innovative now its just slavish. By all means use it on some, but not so many dishes. The wine selection was disappointing though we were helped to find an interesting wine which was better than expected.
Overall, not sure that I will choose to go back, but I probably wouldn't object if someone else chose it. The bill was reasonable for the standard of food and London.

Took a chick there for a meal. I could do a better job if I bought her a £50,000 diamond ring. Ok, a slight exaggeration, but you get the point.
Basically it was game over. The service was excellent, the food was tasty, and the setting was perfect.

My husband and I had dinner at MU last night. As I had read many good reviews I thought the place would be perfect for a romantic gourmet dinner. We had a cocktail beforehand in the MJU BAR, The manager gave us good advice on the menu and wines. I was a bit disappointed by the restaurant room which was big and lacked "personality". We had the the Chef`s Menu, with wine pairings. The food was an absolute delight, and the wines were perfectly appropriate. Service was amazing, waiters and waitresses everywhere. As soon as your plate was empty it was gone. I would definitely recommend MU if you want a Gourmet evening. But if you are looking for a romantic meal, it is not the right restaurant, as there always is someone looking over your shoulder and there are no cosy little corners to hold hand while eating

This is quite possibly the worst meal I have had in London. We went for a romantic night out, and got served over the top chocolate fois gras (i'm French and know good fois gras- this was disgusting), had minute plates with nothing more than what I would feed a pet bird and there was no ambiance. They tried to be posh by serving utterly disgusting amuse-bouches...really foul. On top of that, it was seriously over-priced and trying to be something it could not be. Do not waste your money or your time!

Been to Mju last week on Thursday, it was my 3rd visit and I really enjoyed everithing. The place still lack a bit in ambiance but you can't fault the food or the service.
There was four of us and we decided to have the sharing dishes, we followed the recommandation of the maitre D' and took a wide and large selection of dishes, they were all tasty, well executed and it was a real experience in fun dinning.
The selection of cocktail is great, with good non alcoholic ones (try the fresh).
The bill was okay, what you would expect from Knightsbridge.
We then went and finnished our evening at the bar.
I will go back again as much as I can.

Been there for the tasting plate 3 times now. Every month it gets worse and worse. First tasting plate couple months ago, it was excellent and I especially loved the foie gras and the oysters. Secons tasting plate, it was OK. Lobster linguini was too salty but everything else is perfect. The third tasting plate (just last Saturday actually) was awful. The menu didn't change despite the change of the month, and the lobster linguini this time was tasteless. Still, thumbs up on the foie gras. The pigeon with arthicoke puree was a nice touch though. The bread is always warm and nice.
I would recommend it to others but I hope that the chef will come up with something new soon or at least make sure that the quality is constant.

THIS PLACE WAS AWFUL, IT COMPLETELY LACKS AMBIENCE, THEY HAD RUN OUT OF FOIE GRAS AND DECENT CHAMPAGNE AND THE FOOD WAS CRAP. TINY PLATES OF JUST COMPLETE RIP OFF FOOD. MY BOYFRIEND WAS COMPLETLY SHOCKED HOW BAD IT WAS AND WE WERE STARVING WHEN WE LEFT BECAUSE WE COULDNT EAT MOST OF IT. THE RABBIT WAS FOUL...
I WOULD NEVER GO BACK, THE ONLY GOOD THING WAS THE WAITER WAS BRILLIANT, HE NEEDS TO LOOK FOR ANOTHER JOB!!!!!!

Returned to Mju this evening, as one can hardly fault the location. Enjoyed a couple of Caipirinha at the bar, although sadly the Perrior Jouet was quite flat, I mentioned this to the Maitre D at the end of the meal who appologised and rightly suggested I should have compalained at the time so he could do something about it, sorry I'm so English...
The Restaurant was trying a new Tapas Menu which we tried. We ate phaesant, pigeon, rabbit, monkfish, beef and a pumpkin dish. All washed down with some saki served chilled and a bottle of Italian Merlot, including service the bill was £150 for two.
Service was good (special mention to Angela thank you, food was good, atmosphere as always was awful. The place is soul less the wordt kind of international hotel restaurant that one finds all over the world, which may be why it was empty, the service was so good and the food better than OK, great for a quiet dinner with someone, where you hope not to be recognised.

I should have written this review ages ago as my boyfriend and I actually dined at MJU in August...but never late than never and the experience was so good that it deserves a review!
Anyone looking for a real dining experience, a change from the norm or an opportunity to try a taster menu really should go to MJU
We had the 10-course taster menu which was simply divine! There is no "menu" so each course that arrives is a surprise (the waiting staff do ask beforehand what you like/dislike, any allergies etc). As the waiter told us beforehand you soon lose track of how many courses you've had....this is true (perhaps aided by the wine pairing!) and adds to the fun of the dining experience.
To the important stuff - the food is fantastic! The range of dishes and quality of ingredients is exquisite! The menu started with a definite Eastern influence and worked through to more of a French finish. The dishes ranged from a sashimi plate through to crab linguine through to the most delicious roast duck ever!
We also had the wine pairing - each wine accompanied the dish perfectly - often rather unusual but perfectly selected choices. The sommeliers explanation is interesting and suitably informative. There is a range of options for the wine pairings with varying prices – we chose the MJU standard range and found it excellent.
The service was lovely – the staff were professional and friendly.
This is somewhere for a real dining experience as opposed to just a quick dinner out. I would highly recommend it for a special occasion or when you just want to indulge in great food and wine! I can assure you it will tantalise your taste-buds!
