On a recent trip to London to celebrate my partners birthday we booked the Notting Hill Brasserie. We were not dissapointed, everything was first class - the service, food and atmosphere.

We will definitely be going again.

My partner and I went here on Saturday night and had a fabulous time. The staff were very professional and the food was wonderful. We both had the scallops to start with (beautiful) and then had monkfish and beef respectively. Delicious. The atmosphere is very intimate due to music from the jazz duo in the foyer (piano and bass) the low lighting, and the clever seating arrangements. I will dine here again and again.

Do not be fooled by the 'Brasserie' title. I was pleasantly surprised by this charming and romantic restaurant. The rabbit we both ordered as a starter was a little iffy but the steak for main course and the chocolate dessert were both excellent. I would also recommend having a pre or post dinner drink at the bar. A little on the expensive side though - coming up to just over £100 per head, however this wasn't unexpected as we ordered both champagne and cocktails.

While visiting London from Los Angeles, my husband and I read several reviews about this restaurant and decided to check it out. We called this afternoon and booked a reservation for 9:15p. From the moment we walked in the door of this beautiful building, we were made to feel like old friends. There is live jazz, played by two great musicians. The decor is elegant, modern and sophisticated. The food was the best we have eaten in London. Every course was perfect. The service was stellar.

We stayed and enjoyed the music and had dessert in the lounge. Patrice and Michelle and the entire staff are gracious, professional and charming. We will be back many times, I'm sure, and will recommend Notting Hill Brasserie to our friends. If you love delicious, creative and beautifully presented food in a warm and sophisticated environment, you can't miss with this restaurant! Fantastic!

Went there last Saturday, the place seemed full of people from the suburbs eating very seriously. The food was all quite good, but nothing really special. The service was mainly by Russians, nothing wrong with that, but they lack style. Bill for 4 was £215, really pretty poor value for somehwere so uninteresting

4 of us went there last night and I have to say I was disappointed at the service and quality of the food.

The staff from front of house down were all rude, tense, arrogant and unhelpful- with the exception of the bread girl who was the only person I saw smile the whole evening. It’s the first time Ive been to a restaurant where they have cleared the wine glasses away during the main course whilst we were still eating and having asked for another bottle.

The food was mediocre- I had scallops to start which were nice enough but nothing to rave about, my beef was very fatty and not particularly tasty and the banana parfait was also fine at best (the accompanying ice cream was very good though). My companions are not the type to complain so I held back but it was one of the few occasions where I felt it would have been appropriate.

On the whole not an enjoyable evening and whilst not the most expensive meal, I would have expected a better experience for the money.

Quite the best dinner I've had in London for a long time. The atmosphere was relaxing and sophisticated, the decor comfortable yet chic. The staff were far and away the best part of the experience - welcoming yet discreet. A perfectly balanced approach. The food looked and tasted wonderful, although perhaps the portions were rather on the small side for any hungry people. I couldn't recommend it highly enough.

This place is truly superb! We had 3 courses (each ordering different things) and each one was faultless. The service was impeccable; the atmosphere was warm and inviting; the crowd was unpretentious; and the bill was very good value for the overall quality of the place. I am one of those picky diners and this place more than impressed me! I will certainly be back.

We tried this reataurant, after numerous attempts to get a booking, for Sunday lunch. Wherever we go to a good place, and strike up a raport witht the staff we ask where they would eat in London. The Notting Hill Brasserie came up too many times to ignore. We were so disappointed. Very average food, too many kids (ok it was Sunday lunch, but they offer a creche) and lazy service in the French mould. We felt that as non regulars we were treated very differently from those who were, and as the food wasn't outstanding we couldn't be arsed to ingratiate ourselves. Ho Hum...

The enthusiasm of other reviewers is fully justified. This is a rarity in central London in being both gastronomically excellent and highly atmospheric. I had dinner with friends in one of their private rooms this week, which was a great experience The room is intimate and charming and the service was excellent and friendly, even when we realised we'd stayed significantly later than any other guests. Making arrangements for the evening was also a good experience - the restaurant staff were prompt and helpful, and with none of the tiresome rules about minimum spends and deposits that one encounters elsewhere. Finally, even though prices, especially for mains, look high, the bill at the end of the evening was actually less than we feared: it's not a place that tends to pile on added extras, and we felt it was rather good value for the quality of the meal and the experience. Very much recommended, even if you aren't local to Notting Hill.
