Another visit to a favourite haunt has failed to disappoint in any way. The consistently excellent cooking and friendly staff (some who we've known for over 20 years) are always thoughtful and polite in an old fashioned way, and the funky new bar served up some of the best mojitos every tried. It is a bit pricey, but you gets what you pays for and as a special treat we'll never stop loving coming here. Can not recommend highly enough.

A vibrant and welcoming place to eat. The service is great and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. I've been there several times with friends and enjoyed it every time. Not too much to say on the food apart that it was simply amazing. The new bar N92 is absolutely beautiful and you can enjoy some great cocktails. Highly recommended!

What a disappointment this restaurant was. We had been wanting to go to NHB for weeks, and saw an offer they were running for lunch. Thought it was a good opportunity to try it for lunch until we could get the baby sitter for another time for dinner. First of all we notice it was dead quiet. No other people around, the waiter was not friendly, not rude but was quite stiff. He didn't explain the menu at all to us so we opt for the set menu which was limited. My cold tasteless soup was bland and my husbands tiny salad salmon was not as good as you would expect with a few ingredients in it at the least and so tiny, the bread seem from frozen they didn't clean the table once we ate the bread even though it was a messing. They brought cutlery after giving us our meal, my husbands lamb was ordered medium rare come out over done, my cod was not cleaned properly so I could taste the dirt when I chewed, the lamb and cod were no more than 120g. There was no music what so ever playing in back so it was dead silence. They took my husbands plate off whilst he was finishing his main without asking. He was still finishing. Won't bother again here, there are so much other better places that provide much better service, and value for money with this type of cuisine. such a rip off or maybe you get double the size and better service in the evening?? who knows but feel this place has a lot to improve on. If you're the owner of this restaurant go check it out and see what its like for yourself!

We were off to an engagement party in Notting Hill on Saturday night and as I had got back from the football in good time there was time to grab a bite to eat out. Our friends Zoe & Nick had recommended the Notting Hill Brasserie to us so feeling lucky we rocked up at 7PM to see if they had a table. Fortune smilled on us and they had room for us. We were led through to the rear room and given a nice window seat. The restaurant was nicely decorated with perfectly subdued lighting. It's one of these places that makes you feel you are on holiday. It reminded me a bit of Julie's. it was quiet when we first arrived but soon filled up. The presence of a jazz pianist gave it a really nice buzz.
We skipped starters and I went for the slow cooked beef. My lovely wife chose the wild duck, the maitre D was really good here and let her know straight off they could cook it well done for her. The beef was seriously good, melt in the mouth tender and perfectly cooked medium. It was accompanied by a hearty portion of triple cooked chips and spinach. My wife's duck was excellent despite it being well done, it had lost none of it's flavour or texture. It came with a great savoury pear tatin. the wine waiter had chosen a very nice glass of bordeaux to go with my main.
After such a stellar main course we felt we had to try the deserts. My wife had a lovely cheese cake made with a savarin cheese which gave it a nice sweet/savoury feel. I went for the apple tarte tatin served with milk ice cream. It was lovely, nice texture plenty of caramelisation. It was up there with the mains. We had coffee to follow and were given some amazing chocolates that were so well glazed you could almost see your face in them.
This was a seriously good meal and up there with a couple of michelin starred places we had been to. However this was reflected in the price which was £120 for two which I thought was going some for two courses. My main alone was £30 which explains it. However the cooking was excellent and the service really charming. It is a place with real style and charm. A good place for a romantic treat though next time I will probably try the weekend lunch.

We have been to this restaurant so many times it's silly! The reason for all the repeat visits is simple...the food. It is superb. Why there is not a Michelin Star is beyond me...and at lunchtime this is without doubt the best value for money in London! I cannot recommend this place highly enough...Just go!

Went there on a whim with the mrs on a saturday night. The atmosphere was perfect for a romantic night out, with lovely jazz music, great decor, and perfect distance between tables for privacy. The food was exquisite, with the slow cooked beef being the stand out.
The selection of wines by the glass didn't match up to the food, but that's something I've learnt to live with.
