A friend was visiting from out of town and I wanted to bring him to somewhere with good food. I wasn't disappointed at all! The food was excellent, the jazz music background was very pleasant, and the ambience is just exquisite. Service was impeccable too. I will definitely be coming back.

I booked the NHB for the first evening of our weekend visit to London. We were not disappointed at all. From the moment we arrived, even though we were a few minutes late, we were made welcome and seated immediately.

The service was first class without being intrusive or too formal. The food was excellant and the advice given by the wine waiter was very good.

Although the prices are high, the service, ambience and the quality of the food are well worth it and we will certainly be bringing our friends to the NHB on our next visit to London.

Fantastic food - the cood with chorizo and squid is exquisite and the seabream is cooked to perfection! Let's not forget the lobster canelloni: the perfect starter!! But the best is still to come: the ambience and the jazz are just fantastic!

This is truly one of the best meals of my life (and I have travelled across the world testing dozens of Michelin star restaurants). Everything from amuse-bouche until the end of dinner was delicious. Nothing extravagant, but top quality ingredients are cooked to perfection and served into generous portions. Whether you ate scallops, lobster, sea bass, chicken, or beef, you will find out that it is prepared in an irreproachable manner.

The ambiance is delicious with the jazz music, the restaurant is rather quiet and the atmosphere very cosy. Service is excellent, very attentive and professional. Wine lovers will discover a decent variety of wine types, including smaill producers who make high-quality wines.

This was the second time I ate at NHB. Definitely a place I recommend, and I will attempt to come back every time I visit London. A must.

The Notting Hill Brasserie is without doubt the highlight of all cuisine north of the park ...

arriving to flaming beacons adorning the exterior and stepping in through an archway before even entering the restaurant automatically intrigues you to what it's like inside.

And what a treat it is...

the small but shyly chic bar tempts you to a glass of champagne or a cocktail, whilst the jazz players - pianist and bassist - put a spring in your step.

the food was exquisite - the amuse bouches only whetted my appetite for what came next. i began with lobster cannellone and freshwater prawn with cèpe purée and shellfish velouté which melted in my mouth whilst my date had pork cheeks with black pudding and salt cod beignet.

he then had roasted chateaubriand in a salt crust, with chips and bearnaise sauce both of which he said were wonderful, ihad as my main roasted pigeon. we had no rooms for puddings but the wine we had (i forget which) was delicious.

all in all a perfect place and well worth the money. i shall definately be going back several times a month

I have on several occasions visited the Notting Hill Brasserie and always felt that this restaurant offered value for money.

The service as always been next to none, the greeting on arrival makes you feel like an old relative visiting, the bartender mixes amazing cocktails and the food has a great honnesty about it.

Overall I wish I would leave in Notting Hill just to make this eatery my local.

Is this the same restaurant I have just been to? Sure, it is pretty and all the intentions are in the right place - but a starter and a main course for each of four, a bottle of red and a bottle of white (not the most expensive) and a coffee each (no liqueurs) and we were in for £70+ a head. Fair but nothing special. Service was, as everyone seems to agree on, at best slack, at worst downright poor. Sorry folks but if that is the best that modern Notting Hill has to offer then I will stay at home in the provinces where retaurateurs seem happy to see you and remain keen to welcome you back. Has nobody ever been to France where the chef comes round the restaurant to see that everyone is happy? Not bad but highly impersonal is my verdict. Virtual management, methinks

My first time here......this has got to be the find of the century......delicious food, great service and an atmosphere second to none. The restaurant was full of great looking people of all ages. I don't know of another restaurant in London at this level that plays live jazz every night. Not cheap but great value. Well done whoever is responsible.

I do not understand the last comment.

I was there yesterday with a party of 4 , yes the music was fantastic but the highlights of our meal was the food quality and how friendly and accomodating the manageress was.

A must for Sundays

The food was nice.

The service just ok and not particularly friendly.

However, the music is brilliant.
