DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE IF YOU WANT A DRINK! or ANY KIND OF SERVICE

And especially if there are more than one of you - I went with a Corporate Company and was shocked at the behaviour of the Bar Staff (bar one, the cocktail mixer tried her hardest) they were arrogant, nonchalant and a waste of time, the service - sorry the non service was diabolical, I had to think - am I really in the West End, or is this some dive in the sticks, it looks the part but is so badly managed, I am amazed anyone goes there at all, or perhaps like me and my colleagues they only go once. The final straw for me was after waiting for 15mins at the bar to get served, the barmans friends walked in and were served straight away!!! ignoring about 10 of us that had been stood there waiting. Also a colleague of mine asked for some snacky food or crisps at 18.15pm and was told they had stopped doing that at 18pm and would not be persuaded and refused point blank? even to enquire. Outside was no better - one of the waitresses kicked a glass into some people standing there and totally ignored it, broken glass on peoples bags and on the floor. They lost a lot of money that night as there were about 15 of us with money to spend, we would have had a sizeable tab - everyone left early and sober - ONE OF THE WORST NIGHTS EVER - this morning I came to work to everyone moaning about what a bad experience that they had had. Also everyone said that they will never ever go back or recommend it to anyone - on the contrary - they are telling their friends the same as above DO NOT GO THERE!!!

Had the worst experience for lunch today. As a New Yorker, I am shocked at the service my colleagues had to endure when the manager screwed up the order, they had to wait over 45 minutes for their new dish to be prepared. Instead of having an apologetic staff come over, they were justifying the delay, explaining we should understand it takes a while if you place an order then have to fire up another one. This argumentative behaviour only made matters worse. As the rest of us (3 of 5) finished our food 15 minutes ago at this point, the manager never offered to comp any of the meal. It is a true shame, as we all have the worst taste in our mouths. Btw, my meditterean roasted veg salad was very skimpy (£5.50) and I'm still hungry! Avoid this place at all costs. None of the staff speak proper english, your order will get screwed up and you will not receive good care if it does.

I have just returned from Market place and have still not eaten!!!

I went to Market Place for lunch with 4 friends when the food arrived 3 of the meals were not what we ordered and therefore got sent back to the kitchen we continued to wait meanwhile our friends finished their lunch whilst I watched on hungrily still waiting for my correct meal to arrive.

When I complained again the waiter started to have a go at me for being rude as I told him I would not pay for my meal when it did arrive as I thought the service had been so poor and was late for returning to work and still had not eaten!

I would not reccoment eating at Market place at all apart from the 1 female waitress who seemed pleasent the other staff and bar manager were extremely rude and left me feeling very angry and frustrated.
