I have been many times to Cafe du Marche. My last visit was 10 May 2006.

My favourite area is THE GRENIER (upstairs part of Cafe Du Marche) which does the best la Cote de Boeuf in town (this is not available in LE CAFE downstairs). Food, wine, service, setting - this place rates highly in all areas.

THE RENDEZVOUS, next door, is great too but you cannot book a table so you need to arrive early or take your chances.

I have been twice and I have really enjoyed it. Very good food and service, and a pleasant atmosphere. Best of all, on my last visit I noticed a small sign on the table that said they were banning smoking in the restaurant beginning in June 2006. Very good for them! I only wish more London restaurants would follow their lead.
