Carluccio's (St Christopher's Place)

Have been there three times and won't go back again. Service is abysmally slow and very miserable waiting staff. Food not worth the wait, and tables always grubby.

Disappointing. I've heard lots of great things about Carluccio's but I must admit I thought it was pretty average. We started off with bread and olives, with the bread slightly stale. The focaccia was buried under a mountain of chopped tomato, which seemed a little extreme! My main course of swordfish was good, except that it was served on a freezing cold plate, which cooled the fish down rapidly. Overall, at £40 a head, it's an expensive option and one I'm not sure I'm pleased I took.

Delicious in every single way, I recommend the Chicken. You can't go wrong with this superb restaurant.

I was really disappointed when I visited the restaurant, as Carluccio was one of my favourite and inexpensive restaurant.

However this time, waiters were not attentive and we had to make a big motion to attract attention.

But worst was the lamb dish I ordered for the main dish. The presentation was really bad and it almost looked like one from a greasy spoon. And only the lamb and it tasted exactly like the one from greasy spoon.

As I took my friends thinking it was a good restaurant, I was so embarrased. I do not think I will suggest that restaurant for dinner with friends again to say the least.

It is rare to find such friendly, genuine waiting staff. Spot on for an inexpensive night out.
