Carluccio's (St Christopher's Place)

We went to carluccios at St Christopher's Place a few weeks ago, the place was very busy, we get the table in 15 min, we order the food, came lovely starters massimo de luxe we order also pasta the trio and was very good cook and very tasty. We really enjoy the dinner in that busy place.

We were at this cafe last night, 15 Dec 09. It was very strange and disappointing experience.

It was our first time at Carluccio's and we were actually quite happy to give it a go. It was a table of three and we ordered 3 main courses, 2 appetisers, 2 desserts and beverages.

For some reason, the waiter brought all of the dishes - in one go! All 3 main courses and the 2 appetisers! We looked really stupid sitting there and was absolutely embarassed that our table was just covered with all 5 huge plates! By the time we finished eating our appetisers, our main course was already cold!

Yeah! Same scenario, we booked, when we arrived they may have thought we were from space. No table for 5 ready we waited and waited. Then they came to tell us the people sitting iin 2 of our seats were waiting for their table etc etc. Thing is it was handled badly.

We got there in the end. The food was as always fine, ala Carluccios a bit high in price but in Marylebone OK I go to C's in Faringdon for breakfast Good.

Anyway I like C's and may try to get in tonight Christophers place.

This restaurant is excellent. It is situated in a very lively area and has a very 'bustling' atmosphere - both inside and ourtside in the external seating area. It is great to be able to sit outside in November and still be warm under the heaters ! The staff are very attentive and the food is of a high standard. The wine is also very good and not too expensive. Highly recommended on all fronts.

We went to carluccuos St CHRISTOPHER PLACE couple of weeks ago .We been suprice about atmosfere there, food was great good value for money. Definetly we will back again there.
