Went for lunch. The service was urgent bordering on chivvying, but that may be what they think clients will want over lunch, so its not the place for a relaxed leisurely lunch. Decor is OK, although tables are rather close.Food was very good, but I'm glad I wasn't paying! Lobster omlette was a lot more omlette than lobster, but still very tasty and, like all the dishes on our table, very well presented. Sole was plain and delicious. The sides were excellent - very good chips! The place was very busy so obviously price is not an issue for their target market, but if I was spending my money I would hope for something much more impressive and memorable at their prices.

Appalling from start to finish. Delays in service were extraordinary and the fact that a number of the fish dishes were not available was not a great selling point for a fish restaurant. I ended up having a veal chop which was bland in the extreme and my colleagues plumped for the seafood linguine which was as fresh as an old piece of carpet. The haddock omelette came coated in custard as far as we could see. Add in the ridiculous pricing and you are left with a restaurant to avoid at all costs.

I'de booked a table for 4 this week. It was a business lunch and we were looking for a upmarket sea food place in the City. I felt it was overpriced for what they served. The service was efficient but I dont think we got the level of service one would expect for 100 pounds a head. You will not feel pampered and its not the place to impress a client. Food was average and the tables a touched too cramped for any private conversation.

Nice place if you like fish, but no where in the same league as Just Gladwins, if you want fine City dining in a nice atmosphere.

Very good restaurant. Really good food and excellent service. The only downer is the price... as it's quite expensive. Likely it was a client lunch so I did not pay and got to enjoy the food!! Definitely will recommend it.

I have been meaning to go to this restaruant for a good few years now but have never got round to it, as of lunch time today though it is another box ticked….and yes I will be returning.

The décor on the upper floor is simple and classical, had it not been for the outlying view of the beautiful Leadenhall Market you may well have thought you were in the Hamptons. Downstairs strikes you as the funkier side of Chamberlains, the bare brick walls, muted colours and modern metal table/breakfast bars evoke feelings of a jazz club meets out-post space station. I found the nicest touch however was in the toilets, namely the urinal that doubled up as a fish tank….quite interesting.

Now to the important part, the food. Delicious. Simply delicious. I had the catch of the day which consisted of Sea Bream, Red Mullet and Salmon, each were full of flavour and the presentation was excellent. The spinnach and mash I had to accompany it were both fantastic, especially the mash, fluffy and creamy beyond belief! My friend opted for classic fish and chips which she reported was also fantastic, the chips themselves being absolutely huge chunks of potato and a nice finishing touch was observed in the small pot of mushy peas which accompanied.

The service was prompt and inoffensive and the tables were sufficently spaced so that others' conversations were not inflicted upon you. The only problem I found was that it was 1 or 2 pounds overpriced but besides that all I can say is, if you like fish, get yourself down there!
