The first time I went it was really nice, and the price was good. But that was a few years back. I visited the place yesterday for lunch and it was dreadful. Very few dishes to select from the conveyer belt. And to my horror, they didn't have plastic covers for their dishes!!!!!!!! I will never go back again.

Went there last night. The sashimi, handroll and sushi roll were all pretty good. Good place to go if you like salmon. The atmosphere is not the best but the food is certainly recommended. Price is good.

I love this place and have been there many times. The food is great and authentic. The sushi are tasty and I love choosing my dishes from the sushi belt. I always end up eating more than my tummy can cope. I tend to end up spending twenty-five to thirty pounds and feel it's good value for money.
The restaurant is relatively small and feel a bit cosy there. But then that's what exactly a traditional Japanese sushi place is like

I love Kulu Kulu Sushi. I never eat Sushi anywhere else as their value for money and friendly service are unequaled.

The Sushi is absolutely delicious and the best value in London. Atmosphere not great but it doesn't matter if you just want a quick bite of delicious sushi.

There was no music and it was very quiet when we arrived, which is necessarily not a bad thing after a busy day at work. I was surprised how small the restaurant was. We are definitely not experts on sushi but thought the food was good and there was choice for fish / meat / veg. You can also help yourself to green tea (tea bags, so not the best tea) which is on the side. Service was ok - if you asked a question, they replied but didn't 'hassle' you otherwise.

Fantastic food, great quality, acceptable variety, always fresh, free green tea & ginger, staff is alright as well. For the fact that the quality is very good and its located in the centre of London, I doubt there is any better Japanese restaurant in London!! This place will most certainly NOT let you down!!

Kulu Kulu is a good a great place to go for sushi and a welcome alternative to larger chains. It’s packed and noisy everyone is crammed around a revolving conveyer belt of food which is freshly prepared on the premises. You can either grab dishes as they go past or order direct from a menu. The average price per head for food and soft drinks is £10 and you can help yourself to as much green tea as you like.

My girlfriend had told me she wanted to eat at a sushi restaurant so I took her to Kulu Kulu on Brewer Street which we had never been to before.
We sat down and saw the food going round on a conveyer belt which we could pick straight up. Different coloured plates went round denoting different prices for food but all quite reasonable.
The service is a little patchy at times however. The menu says help yourself to tea but we could see none. The staff just seem to let you get on with the food and don't disturb you.
I ordered some drinks in Japanese but maybe they were confused about Westerners speaking in their language. Maybe it was just me.
The main thing is that we both enjoyed the restaurant and would go back again and try other dishes.

This place is a puzzle. To look at, it's pretty unappealing - more like entering someone's half-decorated living room than a stylish restaurant. But if you can ignore the decor and higgledy-piggledy treatment of customers (if all the seats at the conveyor belt are full, you simply wait in line by the door), then some great sushi awaits.
It's less high-concept than Yo Sushi, but it's tastier, more authentic and cheaper. I had about eight plates and spent £15. Not bad at all. A particularly good place to go pre-theatre, provided you can get there early enough to avoid the rush.
