We visited the **** ******** on 1st July 2006 and were really disappointed with our meal from the Supper menu. I had the steak and my partner had the battered fish with mushy peas. Fries were of the kind served at burger outlets, the peas were nasty and my side order of green veg was cold and very much undercooked. The deserts: skewered pineapple and chocolate mousse, were uninspiring. The views over the City are excellent and the service was speedy, curteous and friendly. Despite the good service, overall the experience did not match our expectations.

I love this place, they are attentive, quick and accomodating. The food is gorgeous and reasonably priced (considering the quality). The view is unbeatable and the location is perfect! If I was a rich man I would eat here every day!!!

I assume I'm talking about the same place as some of the earlier reviewers! I had lunch at the restaurant on Saturday (during the lunch break at a Tate Modern 'study day') and thoroughly enjoyed it. Even though the restaurant was crowded, the service was speedy and attentive, the preliminary nibbles (parsnip chips I think) very tasty, and my duck dish tender and succulent. It was such a contrast to the pre-theatre dinner I'd had at a well-known Covent Garden fish restaurant the evening before, and I returned to the study day feeling well-fed and contented!

The restaurant on Level 7 at Tate Modern has one of the best views over London and is matched only by the delicious food, the wonderful wine list and charming service.
the food is fantastic and the menu really does have something for everyone - I opted for the battered haddock & chips, my husband was a little more adventurous and chose the breast of guinea fowl saltimbocca with polenta and balsamic cippolini onions (lighter options are also available). children will be happy to know that knickerbocker glory is now on the kids menu.
The wine list is broad with a selection taken from the award-winning wine list at Tate Britain, chosen by wine buyer Hamish Anderson.
The vibrant Brazilian mural is the perfect backdrop.
overall a wonderful experience!

Let's be honest, the cooking really smells a bit up here, so much so that your clothes WILL be marinated by the end of the meal. Not so much bad, as just over-evident...
A touch like a sixth form drama studio in decor, too.
