The Depot

As a new local to the area I was eager to follow up a recommendation for The Depot. It's new look was a welcome change from many stark and cold restaurants. The recent redecoration was accompanied by a very welcome free glass of champagne. The temperature, service and decor was warm and stylish. The food is fairly priced and there are some real winners amongst the dishes. The braised octopus in red wine and pork belly were very succulent. The manager and head chef have apparently recently changed and certainly impressed. We were kept waiting a few extra minutes for our main courses but the views over the river of the night-lit rowing boats meant we were entirely unconcerned. We will definitely be back for more.

The Depot has had a full makeover-it's fabulous!Went with friends last night and everyone loved it.The atmosphere has really changed - a real destination restaurant.Decor very warm yet stylish-beige blinds, chocolate uphostrey, low lighting. Bar turned to destination drinking spot. Comfy bar stools, great cocktails. Music is v cool. New bar menu-for quick bite on way home/while drinking-no service charge. Full menu was excellent -we tried everything on menu and no complaints. Too full for pudding though! Service was really friendly and competent.

Owners are the same and lead the re-vamp with a new manager leading the team.

Will certainly be a regular spot for us all now!
