Starting with the positives - the food is good, not great but good. There is also a nice atmosphere in the restaurant.

Now the negatives - the manageress was extremely rude. In fact I have never been spoken to so rudely. That set the tone for the meal and is not how a 'local' restaurant should be run. The restaurant is also very pretentious. I understand that this is a french restaurant but to have the entire menu written in french just makes life difficult if you are not a francophone. It is also near illegible. The portions are also very small, especially considering the price (two courses for £31). To top it all off, they had overcharged us by £20 on the bill.

I will not be returning

Easy and efficient booking service. They were welcoming. Not that easy to park mind you so allow a little time for that.

Set prices menu with plenty of choice for each course and also a couple of specials each day. Both starters and main courses were excellent (no room for dessert). They had run out of the first wine I ordered but suggested another which was good and slightly cheaper.

The atmosphere was nice and the service made you feel looked after but not intruded on. Worth another visit.

Was at l'Aventure last night. As a French I would love to say that London is very lucky to get such a beautiful restaurant. This is the third most beautiful place in town, right behind The House of Parliement and The National Gallery.

We don't have such cosy Restaurant in Paris, were service are so exquisite, cuisine such magnificient.

This place should be as busy as the London EYE. Every French tourist coming to London should go there.

Beautiful red wine from Roussilon aréa (I forget the name of the producer but the wine was succulent).

The lady-owner, who look-a-like Marianne FAITHFULL is simply the mother THERESA of the french catering industry. I would die to have a such restaurant in Paris.

Every so often we return to this restaurant and we did so again last Friday evening .

It was almost full , the menu is cleverly designed t o be a crowd pleaser one would happily eat almost anything on the list.

We had feuillete of escargots with mushrooms , john dory , guinea fowl

excellent desserts served efficiently and pleasantly.

The restaurant was almost full- deservedly.

We left feeling pretty good and will return -quicker than going on the eurostar to Paris.

This wonderful little restaurant is just like being in Paris for the night. The food is delicious, gourmet French cuisine at it's best, there are so many favorite dishes it is always difficult to decide what to eat.. Romantic atmosphere, especially the terrace in the summer.

We dined at 6 people at l'Aventure on new year's eve and it was a very good experience.

Good choice of traditional French dishes served by friendly and knowledgeable waiters in a very cosy setting.

Everybody enjoyed the experience.

Will definitely go back
