I was taken to this restaurant in July 2006 and was amazed by everythg. The waiters were polite, articulate, and very intune with what the customer wants. As a vegetarian we were well catered for and extra care taken. The food was delicious and I cannot wait to go again. The atmosphere is laid back and not stuffy and i liked the decor.

We had an excellent evening, and were well looked after. The food was excellent and atmosphere first class. The wine list had a high proportion of expensive wines, and perhaps consideration could be given to catering for the more modest taste and pocket.

We brought our family to the Il Convivio after a show at Apollo Victoria, on the 11th of February 2006, and had found the restaurant via this website. We were astouned at the quality of service and food. We had quite high expectancies, due to the glowing reviews and - were definately not disappointed. We had a nice and professional, and warm welcome and the menue was superbe as was the food. The only thing that took a point off our review was the fact that I pointed out, that when eating a small chocolat cake in a triplet chocolate dessert, the small plate cracked under the fork. I pointed this out and the servant assured me it did not matter - he felt I was afraid they should be upset by the plate being cracked. However - I felt he should have been upset - but for my sake. But -- this was a small minus in an overall lovely eating experience.

A gem hidden away .I was not expecting a wonderful experience like this when my boyfriend took me there last night. But I have to say from the moment we entered, the way we where welcomed and taken at the table, the warm and cosy feel of the place, delightful and original food, the 5* star service from all the staff but yet friendly, made this dinner the best of the year.

A restaurant with a manager and chef interested in making the guests feel good and enjoying every moment of it, not in taking "x" Michelin stars. Keep up the good work, we will be back and definitely we will recommend this place to everyone we know.

Went here for my birthday on the back of reviews on this site and was not dissappointed. A wonderful atmopshere was complented by the service which was impeccable. Then there was the food which was incredible. Starter of Pasta in the spicy plum sauce and a perfectly cooked rare steak for the main course combined well with the wine recommendation. Desert was also top notch. My girlfriend loved the chocolate trilogy. The only slight gripe would be the addition of a non-smoking area. Nobody like the smell of ciggerette smoke when eating.

I had a really nice time here the atmospere was very nice and very clean the food was excellent I loved the trilogy desert very good.the waiters and waitress was very attentive.All and all I would give this resturant a 10 .
