I went there for a friend's birthday and would not recommend it to anyone. When I arrived I was ignored and after finding my friends was ignored as part of a group. When I orderd an overpriced coke and asked for a glass of tap water this was acknowledged but never came. When I asked again for water I was told that it was policy not to give water (in retrospect I should have popped out to the shop over the road for a 50p bottle rather than paying).

As a regular eater of middle eastern food the starters were somewhat bland and quite often taken away before they were finished.

I found out after that as my friends had made a group booking they were also charged for the person who did not come (her ceiling had fallen in the day before).

If you want a truly middle eastern experience then there are many other places that serve more exciting food and provide a far more welcoming, and therfeore authentic, experience.

Im really suprised by the negative reviews... me and my boyfriend went to Pasha last night and had a great time.

First thing is the decor.. loved it! Really atmospheric.. you dont feel like your in London! The staff were really welcoming and sat us in the Kemia lounge for a cocktail before dinner (amazing!)

We were given our own table in a cave (?) and it was really romantic.. we asked the reservations manager for a nice table and he said he would try his best... so a big thank you to him!

The food was expensive and abit more than we wanted to pay but it was really tasty and i would rather pay more for food i really enjoyed...

My boyfriend proposed over Valentines weekend and we are definately looking at Pasha to hold the wedding reception...

Quite possibly the worst place that I have been in my life. The food is nothing to write home about, waiters are ok, manager is rude and unprofessional. I would suggest that you avoid this place! Its nothing but terrible.

Absolutely Amazing Service from start to finish in Pasha with a romantic and exotic atmosphere.

We went for our wedding anniversary Dec 2010 and were seated under the stairwell in a cosy little booth.

We had the Feast including 5 starters a main each and shared pastries and mint tea for dessert. The food was good and portions generous the fired mixed grill was absolutely delicious although the root vege couscous lacked flavour.

The wine list is extensive with wine starting at £21 a bottle.

Belly dancers added a bit of excitement during the meal.

Reassured to read that other reviewers also found this place terrible. I was appalled by the staff who I felt treated the customers with contempt.

We ordered drinks (beer and cocktail) and a jug of iced tap water, which did not materialise, so we asked again. The third time we asked (different waiter) we were told that there was a 'problem with the water' and that a jug of water would not be possible. I resent being ignored (twice) and then lied to (once), just so that they could sell us two bottles of water at £4 each. It's petty-mindedness, as we were, of course, ordering 3 courses and a range of other drinks.

Suggest avoiding.

Took my fiance here for his birthday as he has the same surname (Pasha) and because the place looks absolutely beautiful. Food was average, nothing to rave about. We (luckily) decided not to have the set menu as this looked too expensive and the courses did not appeal. The starter (peppers and potatos) was quite nice, but not filling, and were more something to try out rather than to have because you're hungry. The main course (lamb and rice, chicken skewers and pastries) were average, not much flavour but at least cooked well.

The only real complaint I have was that when I booked the restaurant, i requested a private alcove, and was given one, however the whole time we were there the staff would not give us any privacy and kept coming back every 2 minutes to ask if we wanted anything. Needless to say, it put us off very much (especially as the alcove was quite small therefore quite intimate). Good place to go for the decor and the experience, but definitely not somewhere to go if you're hungry.

This was one of the worst restaurants I have ever been to. The food was mediocre and ridiculously over priced. The staff were unbelievably rude and intimidating. I asked for a glass of tap water and was told by the waiter that it wasn't possible as there were problems with the taps, the water tank had just been changed and he wasn't sure what the water would be like. I politely assured him that I wasn't bothered what the water was like I just wanted a glass of tap water. He then told me there wasn't any tap water and I could have still or sparkling bottled water. When I questioned him on how the food was being prepared and vegetables were washed if there wasn't any water available he walked away. Minutes later an enormous bouncer appeared, stooped behind me so that I had to turn in my seat to face him, with his face inches from mine, and he said, 'didn't you hear what the waiter said about the water tank?'. He then said to me, ' and what's with your attitude' (and mimicked the way I was sitting, i.e. with my body turned and my head propped up on my hand). He also asked me why I was arguing over spending a couple of pounds on water and I replied that all I wanted was a glass of water. He didn't respond so I said, 'alright I'll have still water please.' He also didn't respond to that so I said, 'forget it I won't have a drink at all.' I felt angry and embarrassed that such a scene had been caused over a glass of water! What an unbelievably shocking way to speak to customers. The waiters were angry and questioned us when we refused to pay the optional 12.5% service charge.

It is interesting to read that other people who ate in this restaurant were also refused tap water - this is illegal! Pease do not go to this restaurant; it needs to be closed down.

Probably the worst dining experience I've had in London. The staff were very unfriendly and the service was poor. The food was very average and completely overpriced. we had the meat set menu for £35 per person. The starters were ok but the main course was very disappointing. We all had the lamb neck, chicken oysters (which were just chicken legs) with couscous. It was cold, lacked flavour and there was no meat on the lamb neck fillet, just fat and bone. The desserts were pretty average and consisted of pistachio nuts on a plate, some sliced fruit and a couple of pastries. Although the decor of the restaurant is very nice and the cocktail menu is good I wouldn't recommend anyone going there at all and I will never eat there again. Extremely disappointing.

Possibly the worst and most overpriced restaurant in the world. Attended a dinner at the restaurant on Saturday evening. There were 7 in our party. I have to say that the food was absolutely terrible. We were only offered your set menus starting at £37 for the vegetarian option. There was no shortage of food but the quality was extremely poor. Your fish menu, at £40 per head, consisted of burned black tiger prawns which were so burned and dry, they were practically inedible. Most of my party were unimpressed by the quality of the food.

Don't walk hungry down Palace Gate (Gloucester Road's continuation) because you will inevitably end up dining at Pasha. Officially the coolest place I have ever eaten badly, twice!

Don't order anything cold, unless you provide your own Sensodine dip. Don't eat bread or olives, because you will become cystic fibrotic. Don't order wine, because it's only meant to distract you from the main course. The main course: A massive bowl of boiled rice, with a massive knee on it. A knee. Like, a piece of bone. No meat, no muscle, no tendons, no ligaments, just..a knee. Mmm, nice!

Belly dancers super fit like there's no tomorrow. Well worth the £100 we paid.

Go in, have a drink, pull the dancers and get out. Just, for the love of god, don't eat there.
