I have been here twice. The views are superb on a sunny day. The food is interesting if a little twee served in little pots and miniature pans. I would definitely go again. The price isn’t too mental for the city. If you do go, try and get a seat by the window or on the dais, both afford good views. THe combination of the food and the views makes for a "special" day out.

What I loved most about Gary Rhodes Twenty Four was the friendliness of the staff or was it the fantastic service no maybe it was the delicious food then again it could have been the fabulous views. Whatever it was it resulted in a fantastic evening. So much so we made another booking on our way out to come back again.
Highly recommend the Lobster starter and the Brill for mains!

went this friday. Food excellent apart from I got one of the aforementioned jaffa cake desserts on my platter ( 2 others which were excellent ) and I complained to waiter that it tasted just like a mc vities! Not keen on jaffa cakes anyway
Was seated right next to waiting station as well but as every table was full all night suppose someone had to.
Scallops, mushroom tart, old spot pork, treacle tart - all great
It is pricey but view & food is excellent, would recommend and can't wait to go back ( still saving...)

My husband booked a meal at Rhodes 24 as a birthday suprise. It was a fantastic night out. The location is great at the top of Tower 42 giving you an impressive view of London. Traditional British cuisine and we were given great advice on the wine. A very good choice for a special occasion.

I read the reviews about Twenty Four after we had booked the restaurant for our work Christmas Dinner and as a result was slightly apprehensive.
However, we had a great time. The service was excellent, especially the sommielier. He took time to advice on what wine to have and even gave us an impromptu wine tasting lesson, which was very nice as the restaurant was quite busy. The food was beautiful, well prepared and confidently timed.

My Girlfriend treated me for my birthday and i have to say that i had a really good night, the view is fantastic, the food was first class, the service was also good and a massive wine list. Overall a very good meal would definitely recommend although it is a little pricey but as they say you get what you pay for.

superb food. reasonable service. lovely views (but dirty windows). but the ambience is lacking (at least during lunch) - partly due to the Cityboys (myself included) and partly due to its location (it feels like you are eating in an office). all in all, a good place to eat if you're not paying, but not a good choice for a romantic or special occasion.

A restaurant that apparently has it all except chewy-fat-free meat. My partner and I dined here at the end of August in the evening and were lucky to have a window table. It was a Thursday night so not overly busy but also not depressingly quiet. The service was good and the staff friendly. I did find the decor a bit dark and oppressive though. But back to my meat - I ordered the veal and was mightily disappointed to find that it came with a thick rind of chewy fat which put me off. The texture was tough and it didn't taste very nice either but the macaroni was yummy and my asparagus starter is something I could happily eat every day. My partner thoroughly enjoyed all of his meal (he had the guinea fowl and then the chicken breast with risotto although he didn't choose very well and the risotto had a similar sauce to the guinea fowl). The bakewell tart with almond ice-cream was heaven and the restaurant is worth visiting for that alone. All-in-all an enjoyable evening out.

Superb service, food divine, this has become my boyfriend's favourite restaurant.
I think it is almost on a par with Chez Bruce.
The views and location give it that something extra for very special meals.

Our visit to Rhodes Twenty Four (admittedly some time ago) can be described simply as lovely food, great views, atrocious service. An episode when ordering served the sour the whole evening. One of my fellow diners explained very politely that she had a garlic allergy and asked the waiter if he could recommend anything without garlic. Now, whilst I accept this is a strange request (I had never heard of a garlic allergy until then), it cannot be said to be an unreasonable one. The response from the waiter was terse, "Everything has garlic" he replied. Resisting the temptation to respond with "What even the crème brulee?", we (still very politely) asked if perhaps one of the dishes could be prepared without garlic. After some rather protracted negotiations, taking into account the apparently pre-eminent concern not to upset the chef, the waiter finally (and miraculously) decided that one of the fish dishes didn't actually have any garlic after all or could be prepared without garlic (I forget which). As I had recommended the place to my distinguished American guests (who were picking up the tab), this was excruciatingly embarrassing. As a result, I would never, ever take clients to Rhodes Twenty Four, which is a shame because it is in the building in which I work. Thinking this must have been a one-off incident, I asked some of my colleagues, who have confirmed similar experiences. Shame because the food really was very good.
