A great night out. Food was good. Service was excellent. Glad of assistance from sommelier who pointed us towards a great and excellent value Algerian! wine that cost under £20. Staff are efficient, without being too formal. From the other reviewers comment it seems you either love or hate this place, our table all loved it. Would reccomend. Set menu seems good value at £17.50 for 3 courses.

We ate at Beauberry House last night. I had high hopes for the food but thought my starter and main were a bit bland, sticky toffee pudding was alright. The staff were attentive but gave off the vibe of trying too hard. My water glass had to be sent back and the table was wobbly. Ok, not the worst of criticisms but these were all small things which detracted from what could have been a really nice evening. This was our first visit to the restaurant and I am not sure about giving them another go - it was not a cheap night out.

Went there for Father's Day, it was a shambles. What amused the most was the new sommelier taking a healthy slug out of each bottle of wine he opened (he did thankfully use a glass) presumably to make sure it wasn't corked? Or perhaps simply to improve his knowledge of the wine list. Bit rich asking the customers to pay for this...
It was all well meaning but the food was terribly slow, drinks had to be chased up etc etc.

Had a really great evening here on Tuesday, we were a bit worried that it might be a bit empty but in fact it was about half full! The menu is very good value and the wine list is extensive containing some top end wines, however they also have lots available at a reasonable price.
Service was very pleasant, and the atmosphere in the dining room was great for early in the week.
It seems like this place is attracting the Dulwich locals and they're lucky to have a restaurant like this on their doorstep.

I ate at Beauberry House on Friday evening, and was very impressed with all aspects of the restaurant. The food was very good, and the menu offers more choice than most, they offer more than 10 different starters and main courses!
The tamarillo salad with mozzarella was quite a unique dish, that I would reccommend to anyone, and the fillet of Irish beef main course was both flavoursome and tender.
Whilst I would say that the food alone is worth a visit to Beauberry, the true stars of the show are the front of house team. Our young French waiter was charming, and seemed very professional. The sommelier was exceptionally knowledgable, and very passionate. The wine list is extensive, but manages to offer good value in a number of regions.
The new restaurant manager seemed to be a master at his trade, chatting effortlessly with all the various diners, his Celtic charm would be a welcome addition to any restaurant.
This place seems to be onto a winning combination of very good food, a beautiful location, but most importantly of all a welcoming and professional waiting team.

We ate at Beauberry House on a Wednesday night last week, and I have to say I was very impressed with the restaurant. The food was very good, not quite perfect, but at the price they are offering their set menu at, it has to be the best value restaurant in London at the minute.
What particulary impressed us was the warm welcomeing service we recieved from all the staff, but in particular the Irish restaurant manager and the Australian sommelier. These two apparently hail from a background of working with Gordon Ramsay and Heston Blumenthal, and if so, you must feel sorry for Gordon and Heston that they no longer are with their team.
Previous reviewers mention that there seems to be be a lot of change happening at this restaurant, and it seem this is true as when asked the manager and sommelier had both started within the last 2 weeks. I hope for their sakes that they can continue to provide such hospitality, and that the kitchen can continue to consistently deliver the standard of food we had.
I definitely would recommend that you visit this restaurant during the week, to take advantage of the set menu.
We'll certainly return, especially when the sun shines and the terrace is open.

I took my partner for lunch at Beauberry house this afternoon after it was recomended to us by friends and we had a wonderful day. The place is set in the middle of a beautiful park and, weather assisting, is a perfect setting for a sunday lunch. We were greeted and seated promptly and had champagne at our table within minutes. The lunch menu is value, and we got stuck into four courses for something like £22, every one being delicious. The sticky pudding was my highlight and my girlfriend is still talking about the scallops. The service was attentive and very friendly. New management team are all there to greet and seat and top your glass and we were even offered a lift home in a Bentley! Well done guys. We'll be back.

We had dinner here again on Saturday night. We waited about 45 minutes for our starter and another 45 mins for our mains, despite several conversations with various passing waiters. They failed to refill our glasses (we eventually located our wine and helped ourselves). The head waiter attempted to explain the delay by saying there was a wedding upstairs and the chef was having difficulties coping with a full restaurant i.e. it was not his fault so he was not to blame (how's that for a united front?). We refused to pay the "optional" service charge, at which point he started a full blown argument with us. We eventually had more attention from the staff then we had had all night as we got our coats, with two managers apologising as we left and saying the owner was returning from Egypt to sort things out. They said they would contact us by Wednesday and, to date, no such contact has been received. It was an awful evening and not one we wish to repeat. The food is good, and it should be at the prices they charge. However the service is simpy appalling. We live locally and have visited before, but we won't be back in a hurry.
