We went for dinner here last night and had a really fantastic evening. After reading a number of reviews and hearing mixed opinions from friends we were spectacle about going, but decided to give it a go anyway. We were warmly greeted from start to finish, the service was excellent throughout the meal, the staff knew about the food and were on hand to offer advice. They were attentive but never rushed us. The food was really good, we have both eaten in some amazing restaurants and agreed this wasn’t Michelin star but it was fantastic for a local restaurant. My girlfriend had the Wagyu fillet for her main course and we both thought the taste was excellent, but wasn’t as tender as we thought it should be, but perfectly cooked and the truffle mash was amazing. I had the veal fillet for main, which again was fantastically cooked and tasted amazing. We finished our meal by having a drink in the bar with two delicious cocktails. I would defiantly go back again, highly recommend giving it a try!

Awful, awful, awful, what more can I say? Stay away from here if you enjoy eating in restaurants or it may spoil it for you. No redeeming features.

Very poor. Food not good, and service a disaster. Unprofessional staff, which is all to common, however the rudeness of the manager was as disgraceful as it is disgusting. The owners have a beautiful property that although quite garish at the minute, could be something very special. They need to find a chef who understands the difference between cooking and over-cooking and a manager whoactually wants to work with the public.

Could not reccommend here.

Overall the food was good although we didn't think that the wagyu beef was that tasty or worth the money.

As the restaurant was quite empty the atmosphere wasn't that lively but it was a large space so would have taken quite a few diners to fill it.

A major complaint with the meal was the cocktails we chose to have at the end of the meal in the bar next to the restaurant. I had a cosmopolitan which was so watered down that it was almost clear. My boyfriend ordered a white russian and after the bar man had mixed it he was taken aside by another member of staff into another part of the bar, he returned with the white russian which also appeared to be very watered down. When we asked what they had done to the cocktails the response was rather nonplussed and we were then told they were not serving any more cocktails. Bizarre and completely unacceptable!
