Beauberry House has been completely ruined following its refurb, and whoever chose the decor should be shot! The bar is reminiscent of a nasty 80's winebar - all black, glass and mirrors. The rest of the venue looks pretty atrocious as well. Such a shame.

I have been driving past this spectacular building for years and when seeking a wedding venue thought this would be the perfect location, however once we entered the establishment it was a massive disappointment.
Food was tasty...when it arrived, shame about the warm rose". Service was very dreadful; staff seemed to
spend a lot of time rushing around, but with little end product. We had to
ask to make our orders, ask where the starters had got to and then chase up
our main course. Only then did we receive an apology, when we were offered
a complimentary glass of champagne and an excuse that they were busy....the night was dragging on! It was hardly a relaxing experience. Bright, felt orange seats, dim lighting
and orange lamps on the table that you would expect to see when clearing out your old auntie's house
after she'd died. This is a brilliant, amazing, incredible venue that
deserve a fabulous menu and decor that doesn't resemble a nightclub. Franco/Japanese food with Nessun Dorma playing
when we arrived with a restaurant that can't make up its mind what it wants
to be. What a waste. Don't go, unless you want to stand outside and admire
the building. It's all downhill once you go inside.

My husband and I went for a meal here and thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was lovely (we tried the 'Degustation' menu), good atmosphere, and good service. We felt stuffed after the 6 courses and barely had room for tea and coffee! Only gripe would be that my husband's coffee was almost cold, but as soon as this was brought to their attention, it was whisked away, replaced with a hot one and we weren't charged for it!
This is quite a pricey restaurant, but well worth it, especially for those special occasions. We would certainly go again.

Diners need to appreciate (Giles Coren please note) that this is a refurbished and renamed establishment, formerly Bel Air House. Any reviews pre March 2006 are irrelevant.
The new cuisine is Franco-Japanese. Four of us had the degustation menu that included a perfectly cooked and nicely sticky black cod, as well as a generous portion of wagyu beef - the whole menu was £55 whereas wagyu a la carte was £45 on its own! So go for it.
There have been several lukewarm reviews which we all thought misguided, although have to agree that the decor is a bit off the wall. And someone should tell Gilesey that instead of spending one and a half hours driving from one corner of London to get to Dulwich in the south, the petal could have got a train from Victoria in 12 mins. Bless

What a fabulous restaurant! For anyone that enjoys fushion food in a fashionable, yet understated environment, this is your place. I was surprised to find such fresh sashimi out in Dulwich. Everyone in our party was equally impressed with the entrees as well; large portions and really nice ingredients (crisp veggies, fresh fish, just the right amount of flavour). Also, save room for the puddings! Any chocolate lover will love the sampler.
Definitely will be going back in the summer to take advantage of the outdoor space - lovely and spacious.

We went to Beauberry house for lunch last Saturday. We thought the refurbishment with the new modern touches was amazing. It was a very sunny day and sitting on the terrace with the park surrounding us made more a wonderful atmosphere. 2 of the 3 courses were excellent however the service does need to be addressed. All the staff are very friendly and helpful but seem to be quite inexperienced and need some training on etiquette. Will be heading back again soon.

Myself and my girlfriend have been going to what was Belair and is now Beauberry House for a number of years . We went recently after the refurbishment and quite frankly were shocked by what had been done to the restaurant. Firstly the beautiful sweeping staircase that you see as you enter the establishment had pink walls surrounding the red carpet staircase. The bright orange floor and chairs and stark white walls with neon lights set a rather stark atmosphere. The food is a mix of Japanese/French cuisine and though was ok, it was not as exciting as was suggested and a little over priced .We did notice another couple send a plate back due to the food being cold. The service was ok, people were very helpful but it wasn't the polished experience that we had previously experienced under previous management. In short it feels like the soul has been taken from a once very much loved restaurant. Suffice to say we shall not be returning
