We hit an off night. It was strangely quiet but there didn’t seem enough staff as they looked rushed off their feet – we hunted for somewhere to sit and ended up at two uncleared tables. The drinks weren’t quite what we ordered but so what? The bar had a that odd combination of an empty feel (all that glass no doubt) but nowhere to sit - one of you ends up on a miniature plastic seat that takes you back to playschool days - or you can crowd the bar (it only takes two of you) with the bar itself at eyebrow level – it’s those seats again. Once in the restaurant area it took a while to be served (though there were some excellent staff) – and after an enjoyable starter we sent the steak back twice for being overcooked and probably of indifferent quality – indifferent shoe leather. It was a shame since I had read good things so hopefully this was just unlucky.
