Went here on Valentine's Day as my partner is a vegetarian who eats fish - only to be told that at least three of the fish mains were off, by 7pm! That left about three fish mains - at a place called Pescatori. Terrible start.

Service was friendly but two servers for about 12 tables at our end of the restaurant was nowhere near enough and we had to ask numerous times for everything. My partner's starter (£12 for 'sweet prawns') came and we were stunned to find about six tiny prawns that looked like they had come out of a frozen foods counter on top of a peeled tomato.

Poached pear dessert was sent back for being stone cold, despite the plate being so hot as to be untouchable. Two coffees also at best lukewarm.

In short - there are so many places in London where one can eat at this price point (or cheaper) and get better food with more professional service levels. I can only assume that it was either a bad night or people are fooled by its location.

BOOKED IN ADVANCE, arrived and greeted by Giorgio who was expecting us ,made very welcome . All ordered very different dishes all had terrific food as were the sweets we ordered.

Comfortable surroundings, attentive service, an all round class experience which I would expect.

I am not a regular Italian food visitor, however if this is the class of food to be beaten then the challege must be set for others to follow--a must visit for all those wanting quality experience--thanks

Very strange visit it was indeed...

To start with, they would not accept the wine voucher, offerred on the website free with meal and made a scene of it overheard over the whole restaurant. Then for some reason it took us over 40 minutes to order drinks...

The food... we mentioned the rice being just uncooked to the waiter - what do you think she did? She just nodded and took the plates away... No alternatives offerred, no Sorry... and we still had to leave over £200 with the restaurant at the end...

The waiter just cleaned up all the un-touched Pea-mash, Paellas and vegetables in everyone's plates as the sides were awful. Rabbit was delicious, as well as the lobster, both lightly cooked... but out of 5 meals? This was very dissapointing.

We just did not believe the reviews we found on-line at first...

Later, I posted my concerns to their customer services - reaction you'd ask? - Well, they didn't even bother to reply... Typical!

After shopping excursion in the Dover Street Market, we were really in a mood to dine in a stylish place, no doubt Pescatori is one of them. Since it was quite early evening, we were the first diners inside, it made us feel so special and romantic.

We ordered seabass and tuna, both were well presented and tasty, but the seabass has some spare bones inside which was out of my expectation, and I had to spit out some bones.
