Six of us had Sunday lunch and the dim sum were quite nice. However ... when the bill came, we found that we had been charged £50 - yes, £50 - for TEA!!! DON'T drink tea here - it's quite nice but the price is just absurd. What a rip off! There were 3 pots of tea and a couple of top ups of hot water. In China, tea is free with the meal. In the UK, you can expect to pay £2 or £3 per pot. This is just ridiculous.

The new look Mao Tai is even better than before. Unforgetable food, speedy service and beautiful women. Ten out of ten.

I visited this restaurant with my husband and it was the worst service I have ever experienced in my life. I will never EVER go back. (Unless the Australian bartender gets fired or the entire places changes its staff and menu).

Having read the adverse comments before going to this restaurant, I was somewhat apprehensive, having been invited by a business associate.

My concerns were however unfounded, as we were cordially welcomed and throughout the meal the service was attentive and professional.

The food was also excellent with a varied menu.

I visited this cocktail bar with my wife and was disgusted with the rude, arrogant nature of the staff. The bar staff made profoundly rude comments towards my wife's nationality (she is american)..

without the abuse it is still an overpriced dissapointment, with the rudeness (which i have experienced before on seperate occassions) it is a disgrace.

Avoid it, the managers did not even know how to handle my complaint and simply said email the owner...not good enough..

Wow! This place is awesome! I invited all my friends round for dinner then realised I would probably scoff all the food before they came, so we ended up here! What a lazy host I am! Totally sweeeeet!!....

Unforgettable experiance, unfortunately one of the worst. Unaware of the quality of this place, I wanted to invite my girlfriend for a romantic dinner to a 'posh' restaurant. It was a tragedy - the meal came cold, then we had to wait hours for a coffee with dessert, and when I asked for a bill we were simply ignored, because the staff were 'busy' with making jokes with each other. When I tried to explain my discontent, he just smirked and ignored. No need to say, that we paid 3 times more than in 'normal' restaurant. Instead of romantic evening me and my girfriend had only spoiled moods.
