I'm sorry, Sharlene - I could not disagree with you more. I live in Westbourne Grove and have been eating here regularly for the last seventeen years. I have never had a disappointing experience. I also happen to know that a well-known Chinese cookery writer rates the Royal China very highly. It's true that the main dining room has more atmosphere than the gold room at the back, but some people like the quieter room. I have always found the staff friendly and accommodating. I am surprised that anyone could think this an expensive option (for dim sum anyway - it's true the evening menu is more expensive, but it still compares well with other Chinese restaurants of this quality). I can't think of another restaurant in London where one can get such delicious, fresh, exciting food for such a reasonable price.
