I've experienced poor customer service before, but this is the first time someone has gone out of their way to extend it!!
Arrived here with a friend for breakfast and at first all seemed well. It looked nice inside, and we were shown to a table at the back of the room. We wanted to be seated in one of the booths and noticed one empty, but it had a reserved sign on it.
We both agreed the table we were given felt cramped and dark so we asked our waiter if we could be moved. We were told to wait while he checked with the host, being the blonde girl on the door who took us to our table. We asked if we could order our coffee first then be moved for breakfast to one of the booths on the side ( where people were already seated in groups of 2 ) when one became available.
We were told, by the host ( who now looked annoyed because we requested the move ) that we could not have a table for 4 ( the booth ) but could move to a different table for 2.
Both new tables offered were near the door and drafty as the door opened and closed but we took one as it was better than where we were.
While still noticing that there were other groups of 2 sitting in the booths, one of the booths became available so we moved there, only to have the ' door girl ' rush over to tell us she had a group that had just walked in that she wants to put on this table. ( No reserve signs now may I add )
We sat there watching groups of 2 enter the restaurant asking if they could take a booth, which were freely offered to them, while sometimes vacated for up to 10 minutes at a time. We didn't dare to try to move again, and were not asked to, as you would expect, being a customer who had requested to be seated here in the beginning. This woman seemed to take it on herself to make sure that we did not sit at a booth at any cost!!!
Thankfully our waitress and all the other staff in the restaurant we dealt with were pleasant, professional and friendly, and the breakfast was fine. The breakfast bloody marys were also tasty, but were overcharged higher on the bill. An error that was corrected with a refund but without the apology.
I wouldn't eat here again, or recommend it, as I don't deal well with arrogance.
The managers response was even more so claiming we were only overcharged half the amount, then defending staff actions for being rude to customers. What a horrible experience!!!!!!!!
