Tootsies (Belsize Park)

My favourite by far. This Tootsies has outstanding service and the best atmostphere.I have visited Belsize a couple of times now, only last night I visited with my business partner and I must say service was great.

Very attentive staff ,food was so tasty and I noticed other diners enjoying their meals. Lovely music. Management have this right and neighbouring restaurants have definately got competition as this is by far the best service I have had in ages.

Went last night for valentines day with a vsp voucher from their online club for 50% off food. Service was impeccable and food was great too. Top for value- we had the works for a tenner each.

Tootsies is one of those chains that can be very hit and miss, depending on which branch and at what time you choose to go.

I’ve written a scathing review on the B.P. one in the past; however that was before our first child arrived. Now we’re part of the baby world, we often find ourselves having an early breakfast on a weekend morning before the crowds arrive. Service has always been very attentive, and the food more than decent – and it’s very kiddie friendly. Wouldn’t recommend the Richmond branch for anything, it’s a 1/10 experience on a good day. Belsize Park is much better. Reasonably priced.

To whom it may concern

I have been a customer at Tootsies in Belsize Park, London for an extremely long time now. I felt it was about time that I wrote to thank the staff and the management of the aforementioned branch for continual and constant wonderful service. I have often taken my daughter to other local restaurants and we never receive anything like the hospitality that we experience at Tootsies. The new children's menu is great for my daughter and she views visiting Tootsies as a real treat.

The staff always have a smile a chat for us no matter how busy they are. I complained at a restaurant yesterday and it made me think that not enough people applaud restaurants and I felt the need to write and express my appreciation for the staff at Tootsies.

I would appreciate if you would pass on my thanks to the manager, Garcia, and all the staff for making our dining evenings out most fun and relaxing. Also,service is more than efficient and speedy.

Awful, overpriced food. Vegetairan sandwich fillings out of a jar, and undercooked chips.

The service was reasonable and the atmosphere pleasant, but not good enough to make up for the appaling food.

I shivered my way through lunch last Sunday. Every time the waiting staff opened (and left open) the door to the front terrace the draft whipped across me. Worse, the food was very average. My fishcakes looked and tasted like they had been reheated. What a dingy experience

Wretchedly bland food, served only moderately warm. This place does not know a salt shaker or fresh herb. Nice outdoor seating, though.

Absolutely wonderful evening was had by myself and family.

Everything was perfect, from the wonderfull charming South African waiter to the superb food and service.

The ambience was spot on and we all left feeling great.

Thank you Tootsies for a lovely evening last night. You came up trumps. As expected the food was good and wholesome, and the service was very well-pitched. We were a party of 10 family members and friends, one or two of whom occasionally changed places but you managed to serve the right dishes to the right people which gave the personal touch. You dealt well with the teenagers and their requests for extra drinks. And you left us alone to ejnjoy our evening but brought whatever we needed. The bill was very fair and I rather regret not leaving a little extra on the table for our very nice waitress above the 12.5% service charge. I am writing this review to make up for it.
