Tootsies (Clapham)

Once Tootsies was a shiny beacon in a Burger wasteland. Let us face facts, Burger King et al do not do a 'proper' burger do they? By 'proper' I mean a burger that when bitten into actually tastes of meat and not just of flavoured mayonnaise and gherkins.
Sad to say Tootsies are starting to let their standards slide. Small chips and mediocre burgers are the norm these days and the food at their Clapham outlet and other Tootsies branches (well certainly Tootsies in Richmond, having eaten there recently).
C'mon Tootsies! Pull your socks up because until you do I for one will be sticking to Gourmet Burger Kitchen for the 'proper' burger experience.

I was quite suprised when myself and a friend arrived on a cold Sunday morning into Tootsies - with hardly anyone inside. We were given a choice of a table right next to the door, as we were cold we wanted the table behind this away from the door - the waiter said no, lost our custom, and ALSO lost the custom of the couple behind us who were in the same predicement! Does not makes ANY business sense to refuse custom of 4 people! So due to that, there is no point in going to Tooties again -even though I didnt even manage to try their food! With service like that why would I !
