Snows on the Green

Excellent value for money if you get the set menu. Food was beautifully prepared and tasted great. Service was a little strange, the waiter wasn't even aware what was on the menu and they ignored our credit card waiting to pay on the table at the end of for at least 10 minutes! Otherwise they were attentive. Would recommend, especially for a romantic night out.

I would most definatly recommend Snows on the green for an intimate night out. the food was fantastic, the service was better than many restaurants we've been to around the city, staff were very friendly and the manageress was very helpful. It was our annerversairy and she put rose petals on the table. This was a big suprise indeed. Its incredebly good value for money, please don't tell anyone otherwise i won't be able to get a table !

We went on a Monday night. The set menu was good value, and the food well cooked. The a la carte dishes we had were extremely poor. Rabbit en croute brought almost raw pastry, a thin, tasteless gravy and unadvertised beetroot. A side dish of saute potatoes tasted as if the tubers had been microwaved and then deep-fried in two-day old sunflower oil, or vice versa. A complaint was dealt with politely but unapologetically. We won't go back.

Snows is fantastic and for such great value!I have only been there once, as I live quite far away, and especially adore Lana the manageress . Who is always polite and will sort out any problem.If I lived close to the restaurent I would go there every day.

So myself and my girlfriend went to Snows last night for Valentines night. Well in two words near perfect, just what we needed after being out of the country for six months.

I'm no great food critic but I know what I like and I can spot quality and thats what we found at Snows. The service obviously rushed at one of the busiest nights of the year was still polite and courses were timed perfectly. Again when it comes to food I'm not the best informed eater, but everything from salmon to venison and avocado to the cheese selection were fantastic all with perfect accompaniments. A great selection of wine and wonderful ports top the evening off.

So the bad points a slightly over cooked 'potato friter' a cracked plate and an added bottle of wine to the bill that we never had, but all basic things that were easily sorted.

All in all a great evening and we would definately return when we have the time.
