Azou

We have just been to Azou this evening, for my fiancée's birthday. What can I say, it was superb! Food was fabulous. I had the Constantine Tajine, lovely mix of flavours, would have preferred it a bit hotter, but just that's just me, I am a chilly addict. We had humus and baba ghanoush, simply fabulous... Our favourite though was the lemon sorbet. It just was so refreshing and just cleansed the palate after the mains.

On the down side, I was hoping they would have made a little fuss over the fiancée as it was her birthday, and I had indicated this when I booked, but perhaps it's not to be expected. Still our waiter(s) were really really nice. It makes such a difference to make to be made so welcome, thank you.

Azou didn't live up to expectations at all. The food was fine but not fantastic - and certainly rather overpriced for what it was. Service was oddly demanding and accompanied by booming music.

Azou in Hammersmith, elected Gordon Ramsay's best North African Restaurant in 2010, what a absolute disappointment. I actually felt embarrassed for them!

We booked after the TV show which was in November and waited so long for: a shocking welcome, no lamb!, the slowest service ever (45 min between our arrival and our starters), no water, our bill given to the wrong table, over loud music and only 2 dishes out of 5 worth it: Brik and Tajine El Ain (with chicken).

This is plenty fantastic A1 top restaurant in probably hole of England.

They will also cater for a weddings and specialist occasions with the most reasonable rates for all of the very good services.

This is my favorite restuarant and is also the favorite of all my family and friends!

We had a superb meal in a very friendly atmosphere at Azou last night. Food was excellent (we had harira soup, calamaries and tajines - constantine and zitoune), extremely tasty made from fresh ingredients. Staff was very friendly and we a had great time.

Would always recommend and will definitely come back.

Azou has become a favourite, for a quiet meal for two or to meet up with friends. Consistently good food, service and friendliness, and great value too.
