Toto's Restaurant

Was there on a Tuesday night for my wife's birthday. Lovely room, decor and atmosphere (quite buzzy considering it was a Tuesday) and we had a great table. The lady who took our coats was charming and greeted us very nicely.
Foodwise I thought Toto's was quite good, though not amazing as my main of stuffed chicken was too salty. Also the side order of sauteed potatoes came in a very mean portion. My wife's food which included the lobster spaghetti was apparently excellent.
Service was OK. While we didn't feel hurried I thought the food came out a little quickly which meant we were in and out in less than an hour and a half after 3 courses and coffee. Service was also a little hushed and unsmiley - perfectly polite but not much more. Finally and most annoyingly they really should steer clear of the sly little tactic of presenting me with the card reader on the screen which said 'gratuity: yes or no?' when 12.5% service is already included. Very cheeky.
Overall I'd go back but little things like the service meant I might be inclined to try other places first.

Toto's, so so. Nice place but stuffy. Too many business types with arm pieces. Too many sugar daddy's or gold diggers. The food was OK, the service was not bad. Overall perhaps highly priced for what it is. A blend experience overall.

I lived in London over the previous year and had the opportunity to search out many fine restaurants. Most of them were Italian. After moving within 3 blocks of Toto's, I tried it and ended up going back there numerous times. As a single diner, I was able to engage the staff in conversations and learned much about them and their backgrounds from places such as Positano, etc. The food was absolutely superb. The presentation made you sorry to disturb the plate on items such as the carpaccio. It looked like a cover photo shoot for Gourmet or Bon Appetit! Everything was excellent and the very engaging, professional and pleasant nature of all the staff made me want to go back there every week which I tried to do. The dining room is beautiful and the purple orchids on the tables is a very nice touch.
I am back in the States and miss it badly. Reading recent reviews only intensifies that. I couldn't recommend it more highly! I wish them well!

Visited Toto's last Thursday and I'm going again this Thursday. Despite there being no calamari (something that they excel in) on the menu, they were happy enough to serve it to my guest at a moments notice. My fillet steak was superb and both our deserts, Tirimasu and Apple soufle (the Italian type) were delicious. The wines were excellent and perhaps the nicest extra feature, even though there were famous sportsmen in the restaurant no one showed the timerity to interupt their meal. Will not reccommend to lots of people since it might become difficult to get a table.

Just got back from a few days experiencing what London has to offer and have to say that the highlight was our visit to Toto's. We were a party of six and booked last minute and from the moment we arrived the service was attentive without being overbearing, the food excellent, especially my tortellini and my husband's steak, and even though we were dining early evening there was no pressure to vacate our table. Highly recommended.

I've been scouring London for great Italian restaurants for a decade and always put Locatelli several notches higher, so when a colleague took me to Toto's I was amazed I'd not heard a whimper about it before either in the media or through word of mouth.
A return visit with the French girlfriend, another hard to impress (by national definition) French couple and some Aussies who knew their food and wine was a gamble given the talking-up I'd heaped upon the place. In short Toto's delivered. The girlfriend raved about the endive salad and her seafood pasta, cpmaring it to the best Italian meal she'd had in Sicily and the fillet steak with foie gras simply melted in the mouth. All round everyone was knocked for six by the quality of the food, the wine list, service and ambience. All combined it raised the evening into the category of 'special'. It's a gem and I hope it stays hidden.

This restaurant was reccomended to me by a friend, and I have to say I have never been to such a spectacular restaurant. Lovely atmosphere, the food was divine and the service was attentive. I will be returning very soon. Would reccomend it for a romantic dinner, for Sunday lunch with the kids or for a lovely lunch in the garden outside. As the Italians say "bravissimi".

I have been to many restaurants - all over the U.S. and in London. If I want the BEST meal and the Best ambiance, I go to Toto's. Paolo Simioni is truly one of the best chefs around. His presentation is impeccable, his use of ingredients, superb! You must go to Toto's. London has many restaurants, this is one NOT to miss!

I have been to so many great restaurants and Toto's is still my number one choice for Italian in London. Food is great, I would say starters are nicer than the main course, service is very friendly and I love the wine list.
