Sorry, but why isn't Earls Court a very desirable area? Judging by the property prices here and the safe and very convenient location (great Tube station, masses of top supermarkets, great parks and squares) I think that it is very, very desirable. Anyway, on to the restaurant review...

This is "old school", traditional but not shabby or fuddy-duddy establishment. The two waiters who served us were friendly, efficient and polite without being overbearing, pushy or patronising. People who like their restaurants minimalist probably won't like the decor. However, even though it is very traditionally decorated it is still light and airy, due to huge window frontage looking out on the street and it is very comfortable and homely.

In addition to our wine we also requested some tap water which was not, like in some other places, looked down on, but executed quickly and with a smile.

The food was lovely and just the type of food one would expect in a brasserie: well presented on purposely mismatched, colorful plates; perfectly cooked tender roast beef, delicious grilled fish (fresh and not overcooked, just right), generous portions and nice fresh bread. This might sound like it should be the norm, but having eaten in many London restaurants, it is amazing how often one gets overcooked fish, stale bread, unfizzy Coke (watered down), even in some "upmarket" places.

On that note, the only remark I would make is that I prefer to get my Coke in its glass bottle rather than just served in a glass, but this is a minor point.

So, if you are in lovely Earls Court and want something a bit more special than the Burger Company, I recommend this place. It is not cheap, but neither it is very expensive, just about right.

Earl's Court is not the most desirable area but this restaurant is perhaps the best value combining great service and great food!

On popping down to London from Scotland for a weekend break & staying in earls court, We found ourselves looking for a place to eat & came upon Langans which looked instantly inviting. On entering we were greeted by & seated by most proficient & proffesional staff. The atmosphere was both homely & welcoming & the food excellent, We enjoyed three courses & a couple of drinks each for a very reasonable £95. We will certainly be back next time we are in the area. Its just a pity it is so far to travel for a decent meal!
