This is by far the best restaurant in the world. If I was not a conservative guy I would have said even the best restaurant in the universe and very very reasonably priced. Have been going there for over 15 years and will do so over and over again.

As always, exceptional quality and very friendly service. Yes - not cheap but then rather pay for good reliable service and great food than save £10 per head and have something below par. Looking forward to the non smoking day when it comes. Very welcoming to children and do not cook with nut oil - only vegetable - so those with nut alergies - be relaxed. Salt and pepper prawns top die for and in fact all the food is fresh and wel prepared. Good atmosphere and you can hide away if you want. Very clean and alwasy well patronised. Best Chinese in London in our books. Top rating.

This restaurant is one of the most fantastic restaurant in London. The food is delicious and good value. Besides, the service is wonderful, which always make us feel like home.

However, there is no non-smoking area.

I had always wanted to eat at Memories of China as it looked exquisite inside, the price assured you that the food would be excellent and it was not your ususal Chinese Restaurant. However I was shocked and amazed by the rude service we encountered.

We were having a lovely time, the starter was superb but then we realised the waiter had mixed up our order and instead of bringing the braised lobster which we were quite excited about, he brought crispy duck pancakes!

Further to this I was extremly upset when the waiter clearly suggested that it was our fault. Firstly my partner and I both knew we had ordered lobster hence our excitement about the dish. And secondly as the customer I don't expect to be treated in this manner.

Unfortunately due to the behaviour of this one waiter - despite the food being excellent and the other waiters being quite attentive - I would have to rate this restaurant a 4/10.
