I have to agree with the majority of comment here. We were there for over two hours and in this time we managed to eat a main and be served one drink which we had to ask for. The food was satisfactory but when I go out for a meal and pay a 12.5% service charge I expect to get some bloody service. 30 minutes after we finished our main course we were finally asked if we would like a dessert menu and after waiting a further 30 minutes with no service we paid the bill, what I was paying for I'm not sure. I would like to point out that there were only about 20 people in the restaurant with many empty tables (hardly surprising) not really a pressing service for a Saturday night.

After checking the reviews for Le Piaf it seems we are not alone in the experience. I suggest someone in management takes on board the reviews and does something about it. Like many of the customers who have had a similar experience we will not return to Le Piaf because the food is average (what we managed to sample) but the staff and service is appalling. Good luck Le Piaf, you need it.

Had dinner for two on Wednesday night and we were disappointed. The restaurant was a bit quiet for our liking although seemed nice enough. The food was average, but the total experience was spoiled by my very bad steak, which was not the rib eye on the menu and was very sinewy. When this was brought to the attention of the waitress she informed us that their supplier had been sending "bad meat" and that I was not the first person to have complained. Would have appreciated a discount or something to make up for it. Won't be going again.

This should be quite an easy review to write. Just need to keep the scores up.

Everything (positive) that needs to be said about this restaurant appears to have already been said. Food - excellent. Good enough to warrant a repeat visit. Definitely good enough to point out to the staff.

Value for money was remarkable. With generously-sized portions such as these, coupled with the level of service received, one would be expecting to pay significantly more. That's not a cue to raise prices, by the way!

Our visit took place on a Saturday evening around 8pm, but the restaurant seemed to be a little empty for that time. This is not to say it was completely empty - but there were just a few more vacant seats than one would normally expect for the time. This isn't a major point, however, and may be down to the fact it was January.

All in all it was worth the trip to Wimbledon and I have no qualms recommending anyone to stop by.

Four of us ate here, we had four delicious starters, mains AND puddings! I'm vegetarian and highly recommend the aubergine, and the banoffi pie was even better than my Mum makes it! It was a lovely atmosphere, the staff were really friendly and polite, and it was busy enough to make you think it was popular, but not crowded. As a veggie I'm not usually a big fan of French food, but they have a great variety of dishes which I don't think are french! It was £150 (ie £37 each) for 4 starters, mains & desserts plus 2 bottles of wine, 2 beers and 2 soft drinks. In summary ... I'd definatly reccomend this place to anyone, and can't wait to go back.

Awful...the 'rib of beef' was about 70% fat and gristle, and the broccoli an interesting two tone yellow and green, but the gravy was nice. They did knock £8 off the bill when we complained though, but we'll never go there again.
