I went to this restaurant last night as I had used this website to find a good Italian restaurant. I was dissappointed to find that this is not in fact an Italian restaurant, so don't go there if you are looking for Italian food. This was however all forgotten when I tasted the excellent cuisine.

There is not much of a variety on the mains menu, however there is the option of turning a starter course into a main meal for a very reasonable increment in price. My party of 4 all chose different dishes, and I sampled all of the dishes of the other members of my party. Every dish was excellent with a rich mixture of flavours. Highly recommended.

I enjoyed an excellent dinner on Tuesday evening at the lighthouse restaurant, the staff were very knowledgeable and friendly and the food was excellent. They have a wide-ranging wine list, which is sensibly priced with several wines by the glass. I enjoyed a spicy cod dish and my boyfriend said his chicken was excellent. We shared a pudding. This is a great place to spend a night out. I am going next week with some girl friends to try the set lunch.

My boyfriend took me for dinner on saturday to the lighthouse in wimbledon. We had such a lovely time I felt I should review the restaurant. I started with the scallops and my boyfriend had a tasty feta salad. For the main course I chose bream which was superb, particularly the carrot & ginger puree. My boyfriend enjoyed a perfectly cooked duck breast. For puddind we shared a white chocolate parfait.

We had a great night, the service was excellent complemented by great food and wine. For me this is the best place to dine in wimbledon.

Read some good reviews here that were very positive, so hence the greater disappointment to discover the reality - overpriced and pretentious creations maquerading as sophisticated dining.

Service was good, and the starters were far better than the main courses we chose - in fact they would have done better developing the starters as main courses in our opinion. Our main course selections - Bream (small and not that fresh, despite it being Friday) which was overpowered by the bizarrely clashing accompaniments, and an overly stolid and bland vegetarian option - were teh real disappointments of the night.

Service was extremely good - attentive without being over freindly. But the bill was ridiculously large for what we actually got. The wine list was also overpriced. Other, more positive reviewers on this site, may have hit a better day, or chanced on a better selection of food, but for these prices, one would have expected a more uniform quality across the range of choices.

I have been to this restaurant on a good many occasions now. It is my favourite in Wimbledon. The menu changes very regularly and is not huge with a Meditteranean-Pacific ring feel. Last time I dined there were some superb Turkish influenced dishes. The food is innovative and very tasty. Service is good. Prices are fair and the wine list is good with some excellent New World wines as well as the traditional. It is possible to dine very well at under £50 a head although you may well go over this figure. A drawback is that it is getting so popular a last minute table at weekends is rarely available.

I dined here last Saturday evening with three other collegues of mine.

A great variety of dishes, especially the starters. Also an extensive and reasonably priced wine list.

Nice place but really poor vegetarian selection. Token Wild mushroom risotto dish yet again, how boring.
