Excellent dinner. Meal of CHARGRILLED LAMB RUMP and AGED BEEF STRIPLOIN was of top quality and perfectly cooked.

Service just a little slow at start but picked up and was helpful and friendly.

Most impressed: Water was served in large carafe with lots of ice and slices of lemon. Carafe replaced as soon as empty and without our asking !

This place looks much better since the takeover and it's been smartened up quite a bit. We spent a pleasant afternoon reading the papers in the armchairs and have been back since for cocktails before dinner nearby. I haven't tried the new Oriental menu yet but have heard good things from our neighbours. Will be in soon to try it out. Service could be friendlier but that's our only niggle!
