Having been to the Blue Elephant for lunch the Mango Tree was a complete dissapointment for dinner. The atmosphere and overall look of the restauant was not a patch on the Blue Elephant and the food was distinctly made for UK taste buds rather than being geniunely Thai. Expensive as well with an ice coffee costing £6.50!!

I wouldnt say that this is the best or most authentic thai food i have ever had but it is still very good. The restaurant is very big and is very modern, very sleek. The cocktails are lovely. The food is all fresh and well presented. I wouldnt go there if you want a romantic dinner, its very very noisy due to the hard atmosphere, concrete floors etc. but it is a very smart restaurant.

The best Thai food we've ever eaten... it was delicious. We went 10 minutes before 3 when it was closing after lunch and we were their only customers, even then the service was great .. 50% of our bill for booking online.

One of the most amusing times I have had at a restuarant! I decided to splurge a bit and take a friend of mine out to this place as I had passed it many times and thought it looked appealing. As I am a student, the 50% off deal made this a must.

The service was very friendly, it was early in the evening (reservation was at 6) and it meant we virtually had our own waiter. I was used to this having spent a lot of time in Asia where they are very careful to ensure all their guests' needs are met.

We made our order and we were actually told that (only ordering a main course) that we would need to order something else to qualify for the discount- I thought this was very considerate! So we included dessert in this.

It was only at this time that I find my friend was TOTALLY averse to spice, finding even the incredibly lightly spiced prawn crackers too spicy for her. The bad news for her was that both of our orders were indeed quite spicy - which *I* loved! She did her best though and ate the king prawns which were not spiced and seemed quite content.

We then moved onto dessert and found them really tasty and good portions - filling her up quite nicely.

I personally would recommend this place to anyone, and I would go back there any time - but maybe with someone else! :)

We ate here on Saturday night. Very attentive staff. Great cocktails. We both had soup to start with. For mains: I had yellow stir fried beancurd. My husband had scallops. We had a mixed veg with chilli stir fry and jasmine brown rice. With a lovely bottle of wine. We shared the layered banana and coconut pudding and finished off with a Mango Tree liqueur coffee. All delicious.

I'm a veggie so lots of menu choices. Great buzzing atmopshere. Can't be faulted.

Myself and my husband had passed The Mango Tree on two occasions in recent months and thought how appealing it looked, so last week whilst in London attending the Queens Garden Party at Buckingham Palace we took the opportunity to actually book in for Dinner. What a fantastic idea of mine that was! We were certainly not disappointed, the food was absolutely delicious , service was faultless and by booking on line, 50% off the total food bill was fantasic value for money, I would certainly go again even with out any discount. I have spread the word, we'll be back!!!!

Having been someone who has previously been very cautious and unsure when it comes to eating foreign foods, I was slightly worried upon entering a Thai restaurant suggested by one of my mates who claimed to have had a brilliant meal there. My insecurities with the foreign cuisine were soon banished when I was greeted along with three of my mates by some extremely friendly staff who seemed determined to make me feel as comfortable as possible. I went for the £35 a person menu and was pleasently surprised with what I ordered espeically as I didn't really have an idea of what's what in the world of Thai food. I would recommend the chicken fillet with garlic and pepper (can't remember the Thai name for it). Even though I'm a reluctant foreign cuisine diner, I really enjoyed the meal and felt the staff were friendly and the service was impecable with us recieving our meals in quick time. I will for sure be making a return.

I went to Mango tree last sunday with my girlfriend. we ordered some cocktails at the bar, the cocktails we ordered was Thai piranha, Fruit favour Mojito and Pink Magician. I would like to say It's very absolutely fantastic. Then we were ready to sit for our dinner, The receptionist were very lovely and the staffs were very kind to us. The staff recommened us some kind of grilled fillet seabass in banana leaf come with sauce which so delicious, my girlfriend ordered Lamb shank come with Panang curry, we also ordered stir-fried mix vegetable for our side dish too!

we had white wine as well, which they had many wines in the wine list, we ordered chablis and the taste was very good. The atmosphere was very friendly

The staff gave us a hand. Me and my girlfriend had a good time there, It was very relax day for us. and we will go back there again definitely.

Saturday, July 26, 2008 - Mango Tree is a Thai restaurant in Belgravia, London. It's a stone's throw from Victoria Station and is nice and easy to find. In fact, I went past it on the 73 bus every time I worked in London and I often wondered what it was like.
