The combination of Food ( very good ), Service ( very good ), Interior ( good ), guests/society ( superior ) and Pricing ( adequate ) make this for me the most attractive restaurant in the world. There are restaurant with better food, with better service etc.,.but all together: this is the place number one.

This place is fantastic. It's Knightsbridge it wil be expensive but it is worth every penny. Excellent food, amazing service and lovely ambience.
Don't let the poor reviews put you off - I never write reviews but this restaurant just doesn't deserve the bad write up some have given it here.

I wish I would have read Alicia Kirby's review (December,09,2007) before visiting Mr.Chow - I can't agree more. I was at Mr.Chow's on the 15th of March, 2008 on my daughter's recommendation. I wanted the visit to be a special treat, but the only thing that sruck my imagination was the bill. Not the summ of money I payed (though 114 pound for two gin-tonics,a glass of Chardonay and a duck with three garnishes followed by a green tea portion and a piece of cake is a bit too much), the most resourceful was the form of the bill. It's really something special for those who are in the habbit of solving crosswords, making puzzls etc.: on the right you see a sum of money and a mysterious figure, if you want to find a correlation between the figure and the thing you are paying for you are to look left. There you can see some figures which correspond to icons. A boiling pot means "hot food", a glass =drinks etc. So putting icons and figures together you can understand, whether you are to pay for a drink or for food, but you never know if that drink means "vodka" or "Chardonay". In my bill figure 9 was for all I drank. There was also another queer thing in the bill: the summ 45 pounds was, as the waiter explaned to me, for the duck and garnish together , but each portion of two gin-tonics ran separately - what's the principle? If 45 is for duck with ganish isn't 69 pounds for a piece of cake, glass of Chardonay, two gins and tea too much? I had an unpleasant feeling that not only the food was over priced, but also I was overcharged. I never had such feeling in other restaurants with usual form of bills. Saying nothing of the fact that for 69 pounds we had a really delicate dinner for two with two glasses of Chardonay in, say, Acorn House Restaurant or Richoix or Scetch bar. I stayed in London for a week and Mr.Chow was my worst impression.

Certainly the best restaurant in London, if not the UK! Dino, and the staff are amazing - and can't be more helpful if they tried! The food is delicious .... I would eat there every night if my bank manager would allow! ;o)

In its heyday a meal at Mr. Chow's always guaranteed excellent service, food and moreover excellent (always) Italian staff who were fun and charming without being obsequious. When we had dinner there, the staff were moody, disinterested and we felt like we were burdeining the waiters just by being there - the food came unsettlingly quickly making us feel rushed.
Our visit could have done with even a 10 second window of the obsequiousness that it previously could be lauded for having a healthy lack of - especially if 5 dishes and two glasses of wine were going to amount to a ridiculously over-priced £200.
The menu at Mr. Chow's has remained the same for as long as I can remember, signature dishes such as the quirkly bright red chicken satay and the Mr. Chow's noodles - an Italian bolognese fused with the japanese take on cold Chinese egg noodles ( a dish called ja-ja men) are what keep people coming back.
Nostalgia, however didn't seem enough to justify a dinner accompanied by a soundtrack which was seemingly mixed by a DJ who was a foppis Eurotrash prince with a penchant for the sounds of Ibiza's mainstream dance music mixed with a bit of Shakira and Billie Holiday, in a word, bizarre.

Wish I had read the reviews before I went! Even for central london it is hugely overpriced - you may get change out of £200 for a meal for 2, but only just. The food is no more than average, and watch out if you have a vegetarian amongst you - they will still charge you the set menu for the whole table, then add the veggie dishes on top. A complete rip-off.

I am truely addicted to Mr. Chows food which i have been going regularly for the past 4 years and i will keep going again and again and again. Especially when i have guests from abroad, I can't think a of better place to take them.

Having read the negative reviews below, I thought my friend had made a mistake by booking a table. SHE DID. Mr Chow is over priced, serves below average / poor Chinese food, albeit with good service. There are many more Chinese restaurants in London service much better food – don’t ruin your night by eating here.

I love Mr Chows. The service is always very good and the food is excellent. My favourite dishes include the Prawns with Walnuts, Squab in lettuce, Ma Mingnon & their duck special. I appreciate what people say about the price, as it does tend to be quite expensive, but it's better than any 'bog standard' chinese restaurant.

After reading the terrible reviews we nearly didn't go but I am very glad we did. Excellent service, wonderfull food (better than in HK in my view) and change out of £200 for dinner for two.... well yes it is expensive but in our opinion worth it.
