I went to Yatra with friends and had a great time. The service was impecable, the food was mouth watering, and I recommend Yatra to anyone who wants good wholesome Indian Food and a great time. After dinner we went to BarBollyWood which is located in the basebent below Yatra, and danced the night away. Well done Yatra, I will see you again soon.

I was shocked to read the review of this restaurant because I had the greatest experience when we visited Yatra in Mayafair in a group of 18.
The personalized service that we got was something which I must say was pretty unparalleled, for not only the hospitality extended but the professionalism of the entire staff.

Do NOT book this restaurant if you are trying to organise a group dinner. I had a shocking experience from start to finish. I initially booked 6 weeks before the intended date. After initially being told that we would receive 25% off the food bill and free entry into the club downstairs for all party members (usually £10), I called the restaurant the week before to increase numbers slightly. At this stage I was told that we would not be getting either and that the manager who I had agreed this with had made a mistake and been sacked. After much arguing, they agreed to 25% off the food bill. Four days before the dinner, I got a copy of their terms and conditions through which included:
-Any cancellations 48 hours before - £10 per head.
-Any no shows – full price of £31.50 to be charged.
Not good when you have to put your credit card down and sign to all these conditions.
It was very cheeky for the fact that they sent these terms and conditions four days before, when it was too late to cancel the booking and schedule another venue, instead of 6 weeks previously at the time of the initial booking. I would never have booked there if I had been made aware of these conditions initially.
Then got a call on the day, having already given credit card details, to ask if we were still coming as they weren’t sure!
Restaurant was empty when we got there (Friday night), 2 for 1 happy hour was shaky to say the least. Mistakes galore on the bill e.g. a cocktail was off and was sent back; charged for both drinks. Happy hour drinks charged individually. Shoddy service. Small portions. Expensive. Average food. One credit card machine for the whole group for which we had to take each of the cards to them. Ended up like being in a third-world back street shop with the waiters trying to count a pile of money in the middle of the restaurant. Never again!!!

Three words come to mind-don't do it! We wondered why the restaurant was empty on a summer's Friday evening....
It all started with the beaurocracy surrounding the booking. First, club entry was included. Then it wasn't. Then, our reservation was altered-on a daily basis for the five days leading upto our a meal!
The saying is "Start as you mean to go on". That is one thing that Yatra managed to do. With appalling cocktails and an almost non-existant "Buy one get one free" offer, drinks came with a bitter aftertaste. An average meal was far outweighed by the difficulties encountered deciphering the bill. The reason for an empty restaurant slowly became crystal clear.
Come again? I think not!

This restaurant does not know whether it's a bar or resturant and because of this the service is haphazard and not of acceptable London standards. The poppadoms we were promised never arrived and 3 of the main dishes including the signature dish were not available (this was at 8pm) - they also only had one choice of dessert and did not provide tea or coffee afterwards (no reason was given apart from we don't do coffee). After all this, the 25% off deal we booked through was not accounted for and we were presented with our correct bill in a very off hand manner. Anyone visiting here should stick to drinks (the cocktail menu was extensive and excellent) as the meal will be a severe disappointment.

The worst dining experience I have ever had. Bar none. This place has gone downhill since they tried to convert it into a bar (Butterfly High). It is neither a bar or a restaurant. I walked in and the place stank of chlorine, the table for our party of 9 (booked day before) was not arranged and we were made to wait 2 hours before being served. It was a Tuesday night and only one other party was present. After demanding to know what the problem was I was told by the manager that only one chef was working therefore there would be delays. The food was delicious but then anything would seem great eating at 10:30pm after waiting for 2 hours!
Disaster, very embarrassing, I gave the manager my card and asked for an explanation from the owner the next day. I am still waiting. We paid no service charge and received a 10% discount, which was commendable but I would not recommend. Poor!
