I spent a very pleasant Friday evening with a group of friends at Levant.

Because there were 8 of us, they seated us in their private booth at the back of the restaurant, which was beautiful, and in no way detracted from the experience of the restaurant. The decor is beautiful, the food fantastic, and the service was excellent, especially the belly dancers for the boys, which I have to say was not offensive in anyway.

The set menu for large parties is not cheap, and is probably somewhere you would go for a special occassion or a treat, but the quality and quatity of the food, for both meat eaters and veggies, makes it worth every penny.

Highly recommended.

The Levant team,

I just wanted to express my thanks for a fantastic evening yesterday (1st May); wonderful food, a great atmosphere and friendly and professional service. You certainly took the hassle out of arranging a team do; my expectations were high but you certainly exceeded them!

My thanks and congratulations – we’ll be back!

Simply the best Lebanese Restaurant in London!! We had one of the Lamb dishes recommended by our waitress, very tasty and tender. We also tried so many delicious mezze selections. They organised a belly dancer for our party which was a tremendous success!! We could not leave that place, there was even a DJ playing some of the latest tunes. We have never made so comfortable and treated so well...definitely exceeded our expectations!

Not good. Too noisy, way overpriced, ordinary food. Felt very impersonal. Not going back

Levant - it gets a 10/10. Now I would never post a review, but when a restaurant like Levant hits it right on the spot they deserve an ovation. So other restaurateurs wake up and take note - Levant is what you should all aspire to.

On a Sunday night it was buzzing. From the moment we arrived we could tell that we were in a for a perfect night. It was one of those rare times when you simply know that all will be fine and you completely relax. We were greeted by charming staff, ushered to a table and offered canapes and drinks by yet more friendly staff and there was never an urgency or a rush. Just the right amount of time to enjoy the surroundings check out the menu and be waited on by professionals. We soaked in the atmosphere and contemplated that fantastic menu.

Having a vegetarian with us was no problem, indeed the menu caters for everyone. Lebanese food is ideal for a party of people with differing tastes. The decor is to die for - Go on, check out the website to give yourself an idea. After 10 minutes you do honestly forget that you are in central London.

So to the food? In a nutshell - Perfect. Every dish arrived on time, was well presented and tasted perfect. I cannot say anything else, it was simply perfect. We were a collection of English, Irish, Scotish, Sudanese, French and Punjabi who have eaten in the four corners of the earth - All of us found the food divine and none of us could fault anything, and I honestly do mean that.

Service? Likewise it was faultless. Professional, efficient, attentive, discreet and friendly (not 'over' friendly) and more to the point they actually look like they enjoyed their work.

Something that is often forgotten and yes I am going to mention it, are the toilets in restaurants. It is these little details that make things work - fantastic decor, and more to the point, very very clean.

Would I go there again? Of course, we all would!

Hey don't take my word for it. Go yourself and prepare to be stunned.

went there on friday night with a bunch of friends, was told that over 5 people (a pretty arbitrary number) would mean that we would have to get the party menus, which were priced from £37 and above. The booking process was fairly painless. However, on the night, a couple of us were about 20 mins late due to traffic. Upon turning up, the atmosphere was great, but the attitude of the snooty hostess certainly wasn't. She was in fact rather rude, and didn't hold back from letting us know how annoyed she was by the fact that we were late. Not a great start. Ended up getting 4 set meals between the 6 of us - which was plenty. Go for the seafood meal - the grilled prawns were historic. Food was plentiful and satisfying. The service, once again, hampered the whole process. We were shown to our table and not offered a drink in over 15 mins! And getting any more service quickly after that was like squezing blood out of a stone, with every waiter not being 'your' waiter or waitress. Would go again for the food and the ambiance, with a large group, but only on occasion. Frequenting this place regularly would just be too frustrating.

Take a group of 6 people or more here for a fantastic night out rather than just a dining experience. The venue is authentic Lebanese, the staff are plentiful and helpful, the food is excellent (we had an assortment of set menus) and the atmosphere is great. The background music was just right which then increased when the live belly-dancers performed. Enjoyed the Beka Valley wine. What a party. Will definitely visit again.
