Medicine Bar (Shoreditch)

About a year or so ago we went to the medicine bar for pizza and drinks. They have a 'happy hour' period during the week where they do cheap deals on both drinks and pizza - a year ago it was great - cheap and yummy, however, I went back about 3 weeks ago and it was terrible.
When we asked for the menu we were given 4 x frozen pizzas in their plastic and told to choose which one we wanted. Needless to say the pizzas were disgusting - hard and tasteless. I'd strongly recommend giving this one a miss!

Medicine used to be so enjoyable 2 years ago. It has gone downhill to such an extent! Managers run the place with absolute ineptitude and what used to be a skilled bar staff has been replaced for a cheap, untrained crew (which signals the 'status' of the bar very clearly in my opinion). I think the owners made a mistake hiring the actual manager to run such trendy spot. He is completely out of touch and out of context. And very, very rude to his customers.

Surely not the same place as the one I visited last weekend. I found the music and vibe to be great. Although I didn't interact with the management, the staff were friendly and efficient.

Abominable customer service. We hired out the mezzanine for a birthday party, and no attempt was made by the staff to keep the area private. There was no security the entrance to the area to ask if people were part of the party, and when I finally complained towards the end of the evening, the manager could not be found.
I wrote to complain, and had to ring a further three times before I could speak to anyone about it. The manager was unbelievably rude. NO APOLOGY was given for the poor service, NO RECOMPENSE offered, and certainly NO REFUND of my money, which as far as I can see bought me nothing at all. They may as well have taken the £150 and run.
DO NOT GO HERE.

I thought the service was absolutely poor and the doormen extremely rude. I wouldn't recommend this establishment to anyone..
Remember.. word of mouth is a powerful thing. If anyone bothered to answer the phone to discuss any problems then my severe dissatisfactions may have been able to be resolved

More of a club than a restaurant, it's a two floored venue open till 2am. Much more a winter place, as mentioned it can be rather quiet in the summer months. Went there last weekend and found the music and atmosphere amazing - Norman Jay. Drinks around £3 for a pint & £6 for a cocktail. Will be going back.

6 pounds on the door and the drinks were a reasonable price. Crowd were good (no kids with attitude)
However its small and dingy inside, and I really didnt like the music, which was how the rest of the group I was with felt aswell. Bar service was painfully slow.
